I know you probably mean something more along the lines of the G1 Tag Tourney but they already have a tag tourney...The Dusty Rhodes Tag Tag Team Classic tournament should be starting again any day...It began just about a year ago to the day...Just NXT guys tho. Smackdown currently is having some half assed one. The CWC is really the only tourney they seem to have gotten right. King Of The Ring should honestly be one of the top PPVs.
Yeah nobody is going to give a fukk about anything if its thrown together half assed...when they're not fighting for anything...not treated as important...and lazily booked.
Look at this last one. They did away with it for like 5 straight years and all the sudden decided to do it so they had something to put on their network. They announced it like a week before they had it. Started and ended it in the span of 3 days (not even a weekend). No big names were in it...no titles or even title shots were on the line. They took the past years king gear from a box and gave it to Barrett and said "Here, were not gonna write any story lines or let you do any cool shyt...we'll put you in a feud with R-Truth...we'll make you Sheamus' underling...get over". What a fukkin joke. They didnt even do it this year.

Crazy how awesome this has been. When top suits (HHH in this case) are invested in something and see it through, the WWE can make a star better than any other company. This shyt has been miles better than this years NJPW's Best Of the Super Juniors and alot of these guys I've never seen wrestle before this. Dudes like Tozawa and Jack Gallagher looked like fukkin stars. Cedrick Alexander wasn't doing anything worth a damn in ROH...WWE made him look like a million bucks. I didn't even know TJP was Manik in TNA until someone pointed it out. He's gonna be a star if he sticks around as well. The Brian Kendrick looks like he's entering his fukking prime as a performer and he wasn't doing shyt a couple months ago. Ibushi was awesome in New Japan but this tourney is making him seem like a top 5 guy in the business. Imagine if the top 4 guys from the New Japan tourney decided to do the CWC instead of the BOTSJ. Guys like Kushida, Ospreay, Ricochet, Kyle O'reilly. Man next year is gonna be even better I feel. Get those 4. The Bucks...Maybe dudes like Lio Rush...Freddie Yehi...Sydal...Adam Cole...Rey Mysterio...Marty Scurll...god damn the possibilities are endless...too bad they don't hold this in a bigger and better setting than Full Beard University.

that burning hammer from kendrick to ibushi was amazing.
I know Sabre is gonna go over Dar next week... which is OK but I don't think Sabre deserves to get to the finals of the tournament. His style is OK but I think Gallagher was better. Sabre just advancing off name alone.
And Swann needs to go over TJP next week... but u know how WWE is

Just to further the case of Ibushi not signing, DDT announced him for a show in November & they were supposedly telling people they were signing to be done with their other stuff by late September. If he's sticking around it looks like he'll be a special attraction for NXT coming in to work Takeovers.
Still give him like a 95% chance of being the winner especially if their just using that trophy & not the belt.

I dislike Brian Kendrick using it in a semifinal match of a tournament. That's supposed to be like the move that wins the whole thing. Not some kick-out era midmatch move.
