Always loved the Burning Hammer. That and variations of that was my CAW finisher from the original Smackdown all the way up until SVR 2006

Nope, because he's Brian Kendrick and not Kenta Kobashi

It suited the desperate "will do anything to win" gimmick Kendrick had going on, especially as it was explicitly mentioned Ibushi had a surgically repaired neck

Exactly.

The Burning Hammer isn't the death move. KOBASHI HITTING the Burning Hammer is the death move.

Tozawa with the mock of Apollos old Dragongate catchphrase "Too easy" at the end there.

I heard that the Kendrick/Ibushi match had to be restarted at some point because of Ibushi forgetting or just not knowing that the ring out count is 10 in WWE and not 20 like in Japan. Regal had to come out and say that isn't how the match should be won.

It was nice to see Brian Kendrick getting that kind of emotional reaction from the crowd

it means they did their job of booking him for the people to care

imagine if they did this kind of booking on the main roster :wow:

And of course Daniel Puff Daddy had to come out and get all up in the video trying to get some rub off Kendrick's emotional psychological victory.:beli:

It was unnecessary but it played into the story of Bryan openly rooting for Kendrick and even supporting his heel tactics because they're such close friends.:yeshrug:
