I thought Triple H coming out to acknowledge the "Please sign Cedric" chants made the moment even more special than it already was, and was tastefully done. It basically reinforced the feeling that we had just watched a guy elevate his standing in the wrestling industry before our very eyes.

If you thought HHH was the one who got the rub during that 5 second interaction, I don't know what to tell ya.

Breh, Trips always has to stick his big nose out and try and remind people that he's the "one" who made all this possible to get that neckbeard approval he longs for so badly.

Not saying it isn't cool for Cedric and all because he deserves that but like every NXT TakeOver, Trips will always be out there trying to take credit for the entire success.

I appreciate his enthusiasm and the insight he brings, but something about his voice/cadence is irksome to me at times.

"LOOK AT THAAAAAAAT"

He's good when he isn't leaning on the same annoying lines and just talks naturally. It's the way he calls highspots that comes off kinda forced and clumsy. He should just lay out and let Mauro do his thing when something exciting happens.

He definitely overdoes it sometimes and forces his excitement for big moves. He's better as the guy backing up Mauro Ranallo's hype calling with insightful comments about the storytelling and psychology.

As he should be. I highly doubt "neckbeard approval" is something that is a primary motivation for Paul Levesque. Shareholder confidence, maybe. WWE being a publicly traded company means that Triple H's succession from Vince as the guy calling the shots isn't necessarily set in stone. He needs to establish himself as the heir apparent, Vince 2.0, and not just some wrestler who got an office job because he married Stephanie. The public image he's creating with all this NXT, CWC success is a huge win for him. Why wouldn't he want to ensure that his image is closely associated with that?

And I think you're overstating how much he puts himself out there tbh. Does he even do those TakeOver appearances anymore? I don't remember seeing any of that recently.

When he does a simple "OH!" Or "*insert name of move*!" It sounds natural and sounds great

But when he forces it(it's so obvious when he does lol), it sounds like he's doing a bad impression of a commentator

The Matt Striker Special :wow:

Doing that weird thing to try to simulate echo and crowd noise while doing commentary with your wrestling figures.

Agreed on D-Bry. I thought he would get better in the 2nd round because he would've had the time to improve and get advice between the tapings but it seemed he wasn't told anything because he wasn't really good this last ep :francis:

Some of the cruiserweight talents not being offered deals are being brought back to the CWC and WWE NXT TV tapings as officials still want them in the mix as there's potential for them to be signed as well.

Regarding Kota Ibushi, he's not signing with the company at this point but officials still want him around in NXT. He's currently scheduled to work SummerSlam weekend, indicating a likely appearance at the "Takeover: Back To Brooklyn" event, and will likely be brought in periodically to be spotlighted. This may be WWE's way of continuing to use Ibushi and show him that they want him there.

Kota ain't committing to shyt except having great matches. Biggest company in the world wants to sign him, he doesn't really care, & they still want to bring him in every now & then to put him over :wow:

Interesting.

It likely means Kota or sabre jr, the two biggest favorites coming into this won't win the tournament

He did the same thing to New Japan for years before formally signing with them. Ibushi does not give one single fukk, he's gonna do what he wants to do.

Nah, it's just attention whoring because you think the investors don't know that he's in charge of NXT or the CWC? lol @ acting like principal board members and shareholders don't know what the hell one of the corporate executives brings to the company unless they see him on tv.

Regarding the bolded, Vince made him stop doing that after he popped up at a TakeOver (London I think) dropping the same old 'the future is now' speech when he was supposed to be off tv to sell the beatdown at the hands of Roman.

Still wouldn't surprise me if they had Ibushi win it unless their planning on whoever wins being the incoming cruiserweight champion on Raw :manny:

I've read they could debut the new cruiserweight belt at the finale & also read something about medals so who knows. The way they've presented Ibushi & the fact everybody expects them to give it to somebody signed makes me think they might just try & swerve everybody with the winner not being somebody signed. Plus that probably helps push the idea of anybody could win for the next tournament they do.

I'm pretty confident the finals will crown the champion. Maybe they could have ibushi as champion defending at the pay per views while they build up rankings and the top contender on raw but seems more risky than anything wwe has ever done
