tbf Mistico forgot how to wrestle and Kallisto is far from being special enough to overcome the fact that he's a midget. Kallisto would be toward the lower end of the talent pool in the CWC. Their lack of success is at least as much down to them sucking as it is down to booking IMO.

They killed ADR straight off the bat with that MexAmerican shyt with Zeb though, and the League of Nations put the nail in the coffin.

Del Rio was dead looooong before that, pretty much after they took away his cars, pyro, and Ricardo. He was rejuvenated in LU, but when he came back to the WWE, it was more of the same, regardless of the title win vs Cena

Great episode, easily the best yet, although I think I still favor Gargano/Ciampa as far as the best match goes. Ibushi and Cedric killed it though, there's nothing more beautiful than seeing a wrestler truly win the crowd over.

And of course Triple Puff Daddy had to come out and get all up in the video trying to get some rub of Cedric's emotional psychological victory.:beli:

killing that mexican aristocrat gimmick was really stupid. It was over and honestly unique.

It was neither. The gimmick itself was just JBL/Million Dollar Man with a Mexican flag over it, and ADR really never got truly over in WWE under any gimmick. Outside of getting some heat on Rey when he debuted, Al's entire WWE career has been one big "why do they keep pushing this guy no one seems to give a shyt about" moment.

Thats what made it unique. Mexican wrestlers are usually portrayed terribly in wrestling and he broke that by coming across as a wealthy arrogant jerk. It was unique because of that. And as a heel he was over because people wanted to see him lose...and cheered when he did...he was done as soon as they gave edge the title win at mania and let him drop it the next day and gave it to his best friend.

He was credible until then.

I thought Triple H coming out to acknowledge the "Please sign Cedric" chants made the moment even more special than it already was, and was tastefully done. It basically reinforced the feeling that we had just watched a guy elevate his standing in the wrestling industry before our very eyes.

If you thought HHH was the one who got the rub during that 5 second interaction, I don't know what to tell ya.

DBry is starting to get annoying on commentary :bryan:

Oh my gosh!
Look at the....
Listen to the...

Rinse and repeat

His insight on submissions and moves is still welcomed and adds to the commentary but when he gets excited it goes down hill quickly from there

And he swears every chop is to the face :lolbron:

I appreciate his enthusiasm and the insight he brings, but something about his voice/cadence is irksome to me at times.

"LOOK AT THAAAAAAAT"

He's good when he isn't leaning on the same annoying lines and just talks naturally. It's the way he calls highspots that comes off kinda forced and clumsy. He should just lay out and let Mauro do his thing when something exciting happens.
