I enjoy ZSJ's work, but god damn that dude is just not built for televised wrestling. Both in actual build and style. You can't do that technical "look what I can do" shyt in 7 minute TV matches every week, and his arms were half the size of the REF'S. He's made for 20 minute live matches. On the indies. Sorry breh, I thought you could make it until I saw you in a WWE ring :francis:

Sabre is astonishingly scrawny and lanky. He's skinnier than Waltman was when he was the 1-2-3 Kid. Good talent, but hard to take him seriously without a bit of muscle on him.

I don't see ZBJ's body as an issue because I'm pretty sure he can bulk up to a decent amount after 6 months at the PC.

Even though he wasn't as skinny as Zack, El Generico was also not "fit" for WWE TV and Sami Zayn turned out just fine. If Sabre gets to 70% of what Sami did there wont be any issue imo :manny:

Generico at his skinniest wasn't as skinny as ZSJ. His lack of muscles and definition was actually striking. I think Ho Ho has bigger arms than him, despite being a foot shorter and 50 pounds lighter.

And I said Generico wasn't as skinny...but dude bulked up pretty nicely at the PC. I don't see how ZSJ wouldn't be able to do 3/4 of what Sami did, and that would be enough to have bigger arms and not look as awkward :manny: Sabre's physique is something that can be easily fixed, but his work? I hope Regal and Brookside take him under their wing and teach him what he's lacking.

I had notes typed up for this shyt while I was traveling the other day, but they disappeared so take two:

- ZSJ was cool being this was the first time I saw him, but I agree with others in that he seems to just do things to show off, plus I found his selling spotty. He definitely was fluid and crisp with his stuff, but he left me feeling mildly unimpressed after all the hype I'd heard about him.

- I also thought it was weird that Tyson Dux's ACL injury was a story going into the match yet it was barely focused on at all considering Sabre Jr's offense was arm based.

- Tyson Dux was average, and like Bryan said good at the basics. I wasn't blown away by him but he wasn't terrible.

- I'm kind've disappointed we won't see the Bollywood Boys fight in this.

- I've never seen Drew Gulak before but I've heard his name a lot, much like ZSJ. Very smash mouth, rugged offense. Made me a fan in the short time I saw him, and might be one of favorite new talents of the first round in the tournament.

- I liked Harv Shira, and him and Gulak had good chemistry. He didn't really do much since this was Gulak's showcase, but he was a good base to bounce off of.

- Anthony Bennett definitely has an interesting look, and he did everything well. He threw very good forearms if nothing else.

- Tony Nese I remember nothing of from his time in TNA, but he was impressive. I liked the pseudo martial arts shyt he did, combined with the power offense and high flying skills made him fun to watch.

- Man I missed Brian Kendrick. Plus he still had those dope ass jackets :ohlawd:
His scumbag heel tactics were fun to watch and his backstory and motivations are understandable and relatable, even if he's being a heel in this. Maybe my personal favorite in this whole thing.

- Raul Mendoza was very impressive and I hope he gets a shot in the future. While wrestling with braces on is a real bad idea, the blood they brought on was a good touch to the match. He won the crowd over quick in one of the best matches in the tourney so far.

- I'm glad we're gonna be in the second round soon, just so we can see more competitive, unpredictable matches.

Really interested in how "indyrrific" Ciampa vs Gargano is gonna be. They've been working for a long ass time in NXT so I'm curious to see what type of match they are gonna have. A pure spotfest or add a little more depth to it.

I'm just hoping they don't slap their leg a million times tonight :ld:
