It's a teaser but also a teaser that's going to play for that crowd. And that crowd wants to know the character is portrayed properly first and foremost. There will be time to sell the movie as a whole but right now it's selling the character and the tone of his character

Honestly, I don't expect a Deadpool movie to do numbers. I also don't know if the hardcore fans are enough to justify a movie.

It's gonna be interesting to see how the studios market it. There is a HIGH chance they go the full comedy + fukkery route just to reach the most people as possible. I could be wrong tho.

I think Deadpool will have a nice opening. Maybe around $35-40M. It'll probably have a huge drop after that but it should make more than enough for whatever they budgeted.
