First indoor century. Hopped on the trainer at like 9 o'clock at night. Didn't get off until 3AM

Anybody use Strava? Copped it during BF and finally set some goals on it. Gonna try and use it weekly to help me pedal 2,500 miles in 2023

2500 mi is a good goal. I do about 5-6000 miles per year. I use the free version of Strava for the social aspect. I use TrainingPeaks for performance management. But Strava premium is pretty good from what I hear. I just don't use it because I race crits in the summer and I don't want my ops seeing how much I train lol

Yep Zwift. What kind of trainer do you have? Is it a smart trainer?
Dumb AF 😅 It was like $35 off Amazon and then I got speed+cadence sensors from Garmin.

5,000 miles is next level. I have to nudge myself to get to 50 miles a week and it sounds like you'd average about 100/week at that pace.

Yeah I started with the same set up and then upgraded to a direct drive smart trainer when I got more serious. The speed sensor should work with zwift. Make sure to use an extension cable for the Bluetooth dongle so it's as close to the speed sensor as possible. Also make sure the speed sensor isn't connected to any other devices-ie phone.

I'll be in Amsterdam for 4/20 :blessed:
Anyone here bike there? I can't wait to bike in a society with a dedicated biking culture

I ordered the ParkTool repair book, looks thorough enough. First "project" is going to be replacing my pedals
Right now i'm leaning toward these so i'm not stuck with a dedicated shoe set up

That's dope breh

I've come to hate indoor cycling, I was on alot during lock down but I don't like using fans and shyt, rather the wind of being outdoors.

Squirrel cage industrial fans work really well for indoor training. I run my Lasko with a variable speed adjuster switch and it freezes me on the lowest setting. It's still pretty cold where I am and I don't really like riding outside below 45-50 degrees. I'm on the trainer about 12-15 hrs a week.

Anyone ever take some cycling maintenance classes? I've got some spare time so I'm might enroll in some to get to know my main method of transportation better
