That's the best texture for waves. I got 4CCCCC+ hair (loc'd now), but from age 20-25 I had crazy waves and I went without really brushing the whole time. Once you train your hair to wave it will continue to do so.
Truth!
A brush, some water, and a stocking cap is all you need. Always said all the chemicals ppl use isn’t necessary
it grows mad slow breh. it once took me a year to get 4 inches of hair
Does your hair grow?
I use coconut oil, and that’s only to keep my scalp from getting too dry.Yeah I gave up on them pomades years ago once I got health conscious and noticed all them chemicals.
But I know some brehs still swear by it.
Now I use unrefined shea butter or sometimes a little olive oil or coconut oil so my hair doesn’t get that dusty look.
Bruh, your hair is too short for waves....way too short
Still nothing
This. You dont see waves that low unless you already had emBruh, your hair is too short for waves....way too short
The thicker and coarser your hair, the tighter the coils are, the more waves you get.Ima keep brushing, guaranteed. It just hurts seeing all these cats brushing for 2 weeks and they already got ripples all over their scalp.
Naturally curly hair? I guess you haven't seen these hardcore African steel-wool hair on full display.
my shyt looks just like that if i let it grow without any brushing
I use the Coldlabel pomade, its a solid natural pomade that gives you good hold, good shine, and rinses out really easily without too much build up.Yeah I gave up on them pomades years ago once I got health conscious and noticed all them chemicals.

Considering how tight his curls are, its not a bad length to start, the coarser your hair, the shorter it can be for wave training.Bruh, your hair is too short for waves....way too short

I've been hearing this "its hard to get waves with coarse hair" bs for years.
I have tight, "nappy" hair that will coil together if I don't brush or comb or moisturize it.
Take care of your hair, I have the same texture as you, and I have 180s right now + I have a cowlick that makes waves difficult.
You will have to brush, consistently, and use a durag consistently but you should have waves within the month
Are you hitting those 100 strokes in all directions 3 times a day + durag every night and between sessions? Are you using a medium and a soft brush?
If not

I used to use Murrays, and if I'm trying to get more control once I'm wolfing I use it, but not as frequently as others.
It can make my scalp itch.

The thing is, we have the same hair texture.I dont agree
