The Middle East Is Becoming Literally Uninhabitable

"This summer, several picturesque countries in the Middle East became tinderboxes. As extreme temperatures and severe droughts ravaged the region, forests burned, and cities became islands of unbearable heat. In June, Kuwait recorded a temperature of 53.2 degrees Celsius (127.76 degrees Fahrenheit), while Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia all recorded over 50 degrees (122 degrees). A month later, temperatures in Iraq spiked to 51.5 degrees (124.7 degrees), and Iran recorded a close 51 degrees (123.8 degrees).

Worst of all, this is just the start of a trend. The Middle East is warming at twice the global average and by 2050 will be 4 degrees Celsius warmer as compared with the 1.5 degree mark that scientists have prescribed to save humanity. The World Bank says extreme climatic conditions will become routine and the region could face four months of scorching sun every year. According to Germany’s Max Planck Institute, many cities in the Middle East may literally become uninhabitable before the end of the century. And the region, ravaged by war and mired in sectarianism, may be singularly ill-prepared to face the challenges that threaten its collective existence

The Middle East is going to become hellish

Why isn't the world in panic mode right now
:mindblown:

‘No time to waste’: Water crisis hits Iraq and Syria

"More than 12 million people in Syria and Iraq are losing access to water, food and electricity, 13 aid groups warned in a report as they called for urgent action to combat the severe water crisis.

Rising temperatures, record low levels of rainfall, and drought are depriving people across the region of drinking and agricultural water, said the report, published on Monday. Syria is currently facing its worst drought in 70 years.

Its literally like in the movies no one cares until its too late. I follow/ been following this pretty close since i was a teen , always been a subject of interest of mine and the scary thing is that scientist/experts have been 100% right ever step of the way. Even more scarier is that things have been accelerating quicker than they predicted. Here in the next 5-10 years what we will start seeing is just mass famine in most of these underdeveloped countries, with thousands starving to death on a weekly basis due to lack of food/water.

In semi developed countries power structures/dynamics will start to shift because climate change will change what they can produce/provide for there people, but they will barely hold on.

In developed countries like here it will be a slow bleed combination of both that will play out over a 20-30 year period. I can tell you right now if your someone young living directly on either of the coast start to think about moving towards the middle of the country. I did years ago and climate change was at least a 25% influencer, not saying climate change wont affect here but between rising sea levels , hurricanes and over population. I wouldn't want to be in either of the coast when these yearly large disasters start hitting.

I was considering moving down South but given what I know I'll probably stay where I am (Great Lakes region). I forsee mass migrations occuring within the US, where people start moving inland.

But yeah underdeveloped countries are screwed and massive groups of people will be displaced due to droughts and conflicts. This will cause tensions to rise in surrounding countries and the continued rise of far right governments.

I don't see how we can escape the century without nuking ourselves. The mass migration from the Middle East will put the pressure on India and Pakistan and China. The Mediterranean countries will feel it too. It's gonna be crazy. No one's even really talking about the cali drought.

Most of California slowly but surely turning more and more into a inhabitable desert is this status right now

Mass migration is coming, not even a matter of if, more so when. Its already happening now on a small scale. The coast will be left to rich.
