This is one of the foremost in anarchist thought, and it came out in 84 I believe; but Murray Bookchin was entirely on point.

Our ecology problems are systemic, and international in scope; they require both a reallocation of capital, a mass investment in scientific study and solution, and an end to ecological destruction for the sake of profit-making.
