Not at all. Which is crazy because production-wise, this movie had all the ingredients to be better. But I feel like the writer(s) let the time-line determine where the plot went. The movie fell completely apart at the end.

HIs name and his Monkey Paw imprint is all over this. He wrote and produced it and did damn near everything but direct it. This is a Jordan Peele film breh

He co-wrote it along with Nia, the director of the film. This was her project.

I see Candyman (2021) and the failed Twilight Zone revival he executive produced mentioned as losses for Peele on the internet all the time and it’s a bit silly.

This shyt wouldn't have been made if its just a Nia project. Peele is "the name" breh. He co-wrote it with her and she directed it but all the producing, using his production company, and everything else was all Peele. Candyman 2021 is a Peele project. Get your panties out of your ass. Yes, Monkeypaw was behind the production. Yes, Peele is well-known and it was a smart marketing move attaching an Oscar-winner’s name in front of the film, but DaCosta was the one driving the ultimate creative decisions as the director at the end of the day. It’s also not like Peele was the sole producer of this film like you’re saying either, he co-produced.

This feels like deja-vu all over again with The Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton.
