I re watched the original a few months ago. It's not as good as I remembered it. Not scary, slow paced, barely any kills. The atmosphere of the world was the best part

hopefully Peele takes some creative liberties and makes it more exciting but still has that gritty feel that housing projects in Chicago had in the original.

maybe they'll be more to Candyman's backstory, not just some plantation c00n who's obsessed with white women

The sense of dread from the original is what I'll always remember. Barker nailed that shyt. When they hit us with that bait and switch too :wow:

I'm looking forward to seeing how the gentrification aspect ties into this.
