We got some Boxing heads in here. I trained for a few months before I hurt my knee doing roadwork and once I got a job again I didn't have the time to dedicate to the shyt.

I'll put it like this, if your trying to lose weight then Boxing is the best shyt you can do cuz you work your whole body in one day's work. I needed at least a year to see the full effects of the training but it's definitely a craft worth learning cuz the shyt you learn always sticks with you even when you stop. If there's anything you need to know like particular workouts or warm up exercises just let me know I still got all them bytches memorized.

beastly traps vs beastly legs on that tuaminator vs evander vid :gladbron: no homo

It's crazy he never won a heavyweight tittle. The top heavyweights today couldn't fight like this

Edit: Ibeabuchi was a fukkin monster too.

post some exercises

My usual warm up was something like:

200 jumping jacks
250 situps
Pushup to failure until you hit 50, so if my first rep stops at say 36, the second I get myself together I gotta keep going til I hit 50. No long rests, that's soft.
250 shoulder rotations, I usually do 125 going clockwise and counterclockwise
15 minutes of the bike
15 minutes of jogging around the gym/outside or running on the treadmill, I fukkin hate treadmills.
Then the actual work:
5 rounds of jump rope
5 rounds of shadow boxing
3-5 rounds of the double end bag
3-5 rounds of the speed bag
10 rounds of the heavy bag

I wasn't on pullups back then so I ain't do them but you want to add those and burpees as well, I was walking in that gym weak as fukk and came out with some semblance of strength without even half a year under my belt.

But yeah, the order of that shyt is intentional. At the gym I went to(Sugar Ray Leonard's) you couldn't fukk with none of the equipment until you did the warmup. The idea is to build your stamina so you can handle the training and ultimately the ring itself. By getting all of that work done you've already handle a big part of the conditioning, everything else is about footwork, fundamentals, and constant movement. I wasn't fat, I was more like one of those skinny fat people. Now I'm a lot leaner with a much lower body fat % and with a fast metabolism all I gotta do is bulk and I'll be straight. Anybody in here fukk with it if your interested it's fun as hell and a great way to get in shape. I'll add other specialized exercises later, nikkaz got me hype to go shadowbox right quick. :whew:

that's why boxing is GOAT in terms of fitness...at some point of the year possibly mid summer 2013..im dropping the weights for about 3 months and doing a pure cardio/calisthenics workout..this is a good template to build my plan from

Most definitely, just add those things in gradually as you get closer to that mid summer. But if you were lookin to cut then do it before the summer so you'll be ready, if you do it right you'll be good before the summer.

When your more into the shyt start shadow boxing with small dumbbells like 3-5 pounders depending on your strength. Neck weights help so you can move your head much quicker which you need to do unless you like gettin knocked out. One other thing we used to do is jump on wooden boxes, the trainers would add another box after a few jumps, great for plyo. I'm actually gonna go back in February after I come back from Ethiopia cuz it's been on my mind for awhile now I gotta finish what I started.

ive already been shadowboxing with 5 lbers breh...for a month and half....i sprained my wrist in september and its the only boxing related thing ive been doing until my wrist is 100% to start hitting the bags...shyt is no joke i do 3 2-min rounds...but this whole year ive been doing spinal decompression and chiro therapy to fix my neck and right trap issues...so i had to tone down on many of the upper body exercises i do including anything with my neck...so the focus has been doing core exercises and lower body this year..but before i do all boxing/calisthenics im bulking up first which also starts in january
