yeah the political environment has been ripe for someone to take advantage of for some time now...since Obama, republicans have had zero interest in good faith governance with a sole interest in power, taking full advantage of the (false) equivalence most Americans just assume in the 2-party system (“both sides”)

if someone strategic, charismatic, and competent really tried to push it as far as trump did, they probably could have succeeded in basically ending democracy with half of the country pretty much being OK with it

hopefully the window of opportunity for this to happen has closed now that trump tried this shyt and was too fukking incompetent not to fail in such an embarrassing fashion...waking Americans up to this shyt...maybe an overly optimistic take, we’ll see I guess
Partison politics has become so toxic that people don't even hold the side they perceive to be their side accountable anymore. Donald Trump is easily the worst president in my lifetime yet the republican party is satisfied with him overall. Brazen corruption and no real desire to do the actual job and they just look and go yeah more of that.

The electoral college is so broken that under 50,000 voters could have overwritten the will of over 7 million voters. America made it through this time but Trump laid the blueprint and next time we probably won't be so lucky. If Trump was even half way competent it would have been the end of democracy in the US.

I dunno why the country favors the south electorally when the blue states essentially props up the rest of the country. It’s the country can’t sustain this.

I dunno why the country favors the south electorally when the blue states essentially props up the rest of the country. It’s the country can’t sustain this.

This country has sustained this for over 200 years. The south (and Midwest) has always been less populated, current migration patterns of America show more people leaving the south than coming in with the exception of Florida (Old people), Georgia (Blacks and Asians), and Texas (Hispanics and West Coasters), and economically weak with the exception of exploitation of Black Americans through chattel slavery or sharecropping.

The real problem is the states that are so called “Purple States” (Ohio, Maine, Pennsylvania, Colorado) electing GOP Senators (and in their state governments) allowing for the southern and Midwestern Senators to exert such control. It’s why it’s so important for Texas/Georgia/Florida to turn blue. Toomey, Collins, Portman, and Gardner aren’t the standard bearers for the party, but nor do they cause many problems. They also don’t have controlling positions in the Senate either. Those go to safe, small deep Red state Republicans. Meanwhile, you have to rely on Joe Manchin to have a backbone on nearly every vote.

It comes down to this: Black people’s lives depend on voting. Hispanics attempt to pretend like it doesn’t penalize personally, until it truly does. White people feel like they will be okay regardless. And that explains poor voting decision-making. So it will continue to sustain until you get a Great Depression level event where white people are dying and losing their livelihoods in massive numbers. And the GOP knows it, so they keep it at the brink as much as possible while obstructing any Dem attempt at pulling us away from the brink.

Hence, the system is broken and we can’t fix it until white people get their shyt together and start voting like they want to fix problems.

They're legit crazy :mindblown: I can't believe somebody actually made that

:russ: "Key Witness Melissa Carone" :laff:
:hhh: "Kenosha Hero Kyle Rittenhouse" :scust:

This shyt is beyond parody... it's wild as hell how these motherfukkers can cook up ANY excuse for Biden/Harris winning other than "they got more votes than Trump". It's reminding me of this Simpsons bit

I can't help but laugh at that clip and this reality we live in, but it's also just incredibly sad and pathetic that THAT is where these Trump supporters are really at. "We're through the looking glass here, people..." :mjlol::snoop:

How is he fighting the establishment when he’s golfing and tweeting 90% of the time?
He gets more work done on the golf course than normal presidents do in the Oval. Hes an Apex Predator, playing 5 dimension chess, 10 steps ahead and has all his pieces in place to arrest and destroy the deep state! Just wait and you will see. Trust the plan!

How can anyone look at what Trump has done and come to this conclusion? People are literally shutting off any level of thought and just accepting whatever they're told. Stuff like this is why our political system is so broken and politicians serve donors instead of the general population.

The system is awful. I prefer the Westminster system for the exact reason you laid out.
