absolutely...before the tea party movement proper got going within the first weeks of obamas administration he urged his supporters to go to “porkulus” rallies against the stimulus bills. these were dress rehearsals for the tea party movement

im reading a book right now called dark money that goes into how his show was funded by these right-wing corporate groups that had very extreme views on what the government is supposed to do (ie nothing)

most of the right wing backlash movements during clinton and obamas presidencies were portrayed as grassroots popular movements but they were all astroturfed
