It's the smart move. Say what you want about Biden but he is a vet to this shyt. He's not a noob.
He's doing this for the benefit of the party AND the country. For his legacy and low key, for Kamalas too.
And all you have to do is look at Trumps legacy...now think...does Biden want anything CLOSE to that being his legacy? Biden knows he's got a solid decade of life left on this planet. You think that's how he wants to go out? Hated by most of the country, and most of the world? No only Trump is that narcissistic to see that hate and believe it is something that one should take pride in.
Biden is not gonna be out here trying to be branded as divisive.
I'm not so sure it benefits the party or country. Obama tried all that olive branch, bipartisan stuff and got shytted on for it. Not only that but the Dem party as a whole suffered the biggest loss of power they had in decades. That can't be understated. What Biden needs to realize is that when you try to please everybody you end up pleasing nobody.
Biden is never going to be viewed as negatively as Trump anyway. If Biden spends his whole term trying to make Republican voters like him (which they never will) then the only result will be depressing Dem turnout in 2022 and 2024.
Nobody is saying that Biden should be out here saying "fukk every Republican. I hope they die or get thrown in prison"
However, he needs to stop with naivety in thinking that most Republicans will work with him or that Republicans are operating in good faith. He saw up close what Republicans did to both Clinton & Obama. He should know better and I hope that these public statements don't genuinely reflect his rationale going forward.
