She won't do it...not should she. It's a ridiculous idea.

What are the other options then? Letting these rethuglicans just go back to Congress with no consequences or accountability means they'll just keep pulling this shyt, and next time it may not be such a laughable failure.

I'm asking in earnest. I know this is a difficult situation with a difficult solution.

The only recourse for them is elections where voters hold them accountable. I'm not concerned with a collection of far right house members...this is who they've always been. They'll pull a stunt on Jan 6th in an attempt to hand the election to Trump, it'll fail, and we'll go back to "normal."

Pelosi refusing to seat congressman who WON their seats strikes me as undemocratic, and the last thing that needs to happen while republicans literally attack democracy. The irony here is that Pelosi could actually block democracy, whereas these house members can't. They're assisting a temper tantrum from a failed president who will be out of a job in a few weeks.

:mjlol: higher learning gonna keep hitting us with that excuse too
If we give the white supremacists throwing a tantrum more money they'll no longer need to be white supremacists. :troll:

lol @FAH1223 can make a thread about losing the senate seat in Maine because Dems are out of touch and had the gall to ask them for money and their votes! Nothing to be said about Collins voting record and her toeing the line for Trump.

Hispanics aren't a reliable voting block. Democrats made the grave mistake thinking they will vote as a monolith like black Americans. Thats unlikely going to happen.
You're not necessarily wrong but I wonder what people were saying after Bush 43 got 40% of the Latino vote in 2004 lol. Trump didn't even do as well with Latinos as Bush 43 did.

However, yes, Latinos aren't going to be as reliable voters for Dems as Black people are. Still, most Latinos overall vote for Democrats.

Bush spoke Spanish.. honest question.. I wonder if that's all it takes. Just imagine if a candidate spoke Spanish and also was a fake tough guy like Trump, they'd get 55% :whew:

Bill Richardson and Beto and Jeb and Marco, and Ted Cruz all flopped.

Need more than that.

LOL> edit. I repsonded before reading the 2nd half of your sentence...hell yeah. If you got Spanish and the fake tough guy thing you might be on to something.

We're simple people.

the exit polls were way off in 2004 in general. tony blair said that at first they thought kerry had won the election. there were probably issues with how they sampled hispanic voters

http://mattbarreto.com/papers/2004vote.pdf

he probably did do better than trump overall with hispanic voters but comparing some of those margins in south texas from 2004...democrats went from 74 percent to 52 percent in starr county

Def sounds like Jan 6th is the big play. For those unaware, here's what happened Jan 6th, 2017:

A shyt show, as you can see. Biden (VP) at the time presided over it, because the VP is technically the president of the senate. On this upcoming Jan 6th it'll be Pence. Basically congressmen need a complaint signed by a US senator in order for it to be considered. They obviously didn't get a single senate to sign one in 2017 for obvious reasons, but if republican congressman get one senator next year it'll force a recess. Basically the house will huddle for 2 hours, and then a vote will be spurred. Trump would have to win the House and senate votes in order to "win" the election. Obviously that's not going to happen - he won't win either. The House because dems control it, and the senate because enough republican senators have already recognized Biden as president-elect to torpedo this IF it gets a vote in the senate.

Basically it's all bullshyt, and frankly the most pathetic and un-American thing republicans can do. We'll see...like I said, they just need one republican senator to start this process. Rand Paul and Ron Johnson have signaled they'd be open to it. Of course, McConnell can shut all this down by forcing them in line. Who knows.

Long story short: do NOT get concerned about this. Biden still will win.
