West Virginia voting block is SOLID republican, Joe manchin even being in that seat in the first place is a miracle. Of course he's going to vote with Trump when it makes sense he has a right winged voting block to answer too. Appreciate the more cultural insights breh. I saw some map that showed the red vs blue shifts of the US across the whole country and that whole area was red as fukk showing huge shifts. Redder than any other part of the map meaning they shifted more Republican than any other counties in the country. That needs to be studied what happened there. Its was such an outlier compared to the rest of the country.

Not true. West Virginia is socially conservative and they just shifted over to the socially conservative party (the Republicans) as politics became more polarized after the 1990s....at least on a national level.
Democrats until 4-5 years ago still did decent in WV on a statewide but non-presidential level (Jay Rockefeller, Robert Byrd, Bob Wise, Earl Ray Tomblin, Joe Manchin, etc).
