I just have to say this. I was (and still am) perhaps the biggest Warren booster on this site, and multiple times espoused the idea that any of the Democratic candidates could have beaten Trump, but watching these returns and margins...I have to admit, I think Joe Biden was the only candidate who could have beaten Trump.

God save this country.

I remember when you were a Trump supporter.

Glad you grew up.

because the term neoliberal is constantly misused and misunderstood in this country. i want people to actually know what it means.

this is probably the most important political shift in the world since the late 1970s. its the reason why in america wages have stagnated, why we had an economic crash in 2008 that we still haven't recovered from, why we have a massive and growing gap in income equality. its a topic that people need to know more about if we want to prevent the growing poverty and austerity in america. i have left-wing economic views and if people don't understand the effect of neoliberalism on american life we have no chance of recovering from this deregulated bandit economy.

the point of this board is to have informative discussions that we can learn shyt from. if you have no interest in learning what specific political terms that you are using actually refer to you can always head to TLR :hubie:
No, you're trying to mince words on a applying this a post I made about my interpretation with a dictionary definition as if dictionaries make language instead of people. Its a fukking political label.

Furthermore I wasnt even wrong. you and @hashmander purposely cut off the "corporate cronyism" portion of my post out when you started your disingenuous caccery trying to pretend I dont know what neoliberalism is.

Corporate kowting is literally everything you copy pasted from the definition summed up in 2 words. There is no grander vision to understand, its fukking corporate cosmopolitanism. Everything else I wrote is how that shyt plays out in real life. I notice you didnt say shyt about that.

Im not going to mince words about dictionary defintions like some disingenuous autist. :hubie:

Go to TLR with the deflections. HL is for substance based debate.

Exactly. People look for all this shyt to blame when these folks are just white and republican and hate progress.
It's frustrating. I enjoy trolling about Bernie bros, but in all seriousness, I have had so many conversations with people who talk about how x, y, z would be good and improve their lives, but they defer to the hatred vote.

I think the discussions around the myth of meritocracy that @Rhakim routinely speaks on really drives into another issue. Americans seem to romanticize the struggle as if it's a requirement while simultaneously speaking on how prosperous of a nation we are.

It's just absurd.
