So what the is the strategy? Push blue dog Democrats who will block any major progressive legislation in fears they will lose in swing districts? Or incrementalism? Well that doesn’t work since Republicans have a majority in the Supreme Court which will block and democratic legislation. With this strategy nothing will be done to tackle climate change.

Like it or not people like AOC is the future of this party not 80+ Pelosi whose gonna president over the smallest majority since the new deal. Nobody is saying follow lockstep with her but there is a reason she’s popular. Instead of using right wing tp like she’s from a blue district maybe give some credence to her organizing and strategy skills. And co opt some of the popular policies she champions. Trump lowest point in approval was when he gave the billionaires tax relief. Progressive policies work as evidence by the cares act(as inadequate as that was)

The problem isn’t that the policies aren’t sound or feasible.

It’s that not every message will carry across the country in the same way especially when you have Fox distorting it 24/7.

Here in VA they just passed a law for cops to have a mental health professional on wellness check which was a main tenant of the “defund the police” slogan. But it got through without the defund markerting.
