AOC out over her skis again. I thought she would've avoided this like she has over the past 6 months or so but she's talking out of her ass again.

Just like "silent Trump" voters, the majority of Democrats in this country are not fans of hers.

I like her for sure, but she lives in a bubble where she lacks empathy, which may sound shocking, but I view empathy as feeling the 'pulse' of the nation; not just feeling sorry for people or for people who are having a hard time. She lacks empathy because she thinks that if you just put a Democratic Socialist on the DNC, and pack them in Congress, that people will come around.

However, in order to do that, you need to win an election, and in an election, you have to play 'The Game' in which you do not show your cards until you win the election, and then you do your plan.

The problem with that, is that, by taking a hard stance, you become a hypocrite easily once it comes to the General Election. When you play it somewhat safe, but keeping it neutral, and use your charm, it allows you to buffer out of solid talking points; like for example Biden with Defunding the Police, or Packing the Courts.

It pisses off the media, but Biden showed political expertise by saying, "I didn't say that that, I said I will review it and explore options..."

Politics isn't about making laws, it's about winning over a populace to enact laws.

And notice how Abrams isn’t on Twitter bein all loud about this shyt.

I like AOC and her ideas but I think what is rubbing people the wrong way is how she’s so willing to get publicly combatitive within her own party.
Did anyone from her own party call out and blame Stacy Abrams for losing Florida/Texas and a bunch of house seats?

Oh like ol boy who ran against Pelosi?

Cenk?

Ol boy in Kentucky?

:sas2:

:stopitslime:

No, I was thinking more along the lines of the over 1,000 state legislator seats, 6 dozen House seats and double digit Senate seats they lost during the last decade. A collapse of electoral power that hadn't been seen since Negro League Baseball was still a thing.

But yeah, you're 100% in the know here because Cenk fukking Uygur lost a primary race as a first time political novice running in a district he didn't even live in until he decided to run.

:ohhh:

CNN reporting that Trump officials are accepting the defeat but Trump ain't having it and wants to continue fighting.

:mjlol:

trump knows hes toast. he isnt THAT stupid. he just wants to milk the whole "they cheating" angle as much as he can.

his cult followers will listen to whatever he says and he knows showing any weakness will look bad for him. so hes just all in on this angle.

What do you expect when Pelosi constantly dismisses her even when AOC plays the party line, the DCCC runs challenges against her, and then turns around and blame her for their own garbage campaigns. Sorry she’s not Chuck Schumer

Chi-Town to Tampa
He'll end up with 290-306 EVs at a 4-5% margin. Post-WWII there have only been 3 challengers outside of Biden to flip the White House. People typically stick with the incumbent so Trump's awfulness isn't much of a factor.
Just LAST WEEK you and others were spamming polls on here talking about he could take Florida and Texas. That did not happen.

Unless I’m mistaken they didn’t do it publicly, they did it on a House conference call that someone Leaked to a reporter.

And even beside that, settling these scores publicly while votes are still being counted is wrong.

There can be room for both, nuance is a thing you know. Centrist Dems can be dead wrong about the reason they lost, and AOC can be wrong for airing this out while this is still playing out.
