Straight from Flatbush
Max Rose literally lost his house seat because of that...

He attended one BLM protest and Staten Island CACs freaked out labeling him anti-police...
Basically and Max should have known the optics of that in that district was going to cost him.. he should have sat out that one but do his thing behind the scenes.. Now them Staten Island cacs literally voted in a pro cop broad who ain’t even register on his bid to run for nyc mayor against Deblasio lmaoo

I get it, you hated him 4 years ago and you still hate him now. I have seen a lot of hate spewed in recent days about a man who is a constant winner and overachiever, and that's what the people who support him like about him. Yes, he's been caught in some lies and maybe twisted the truth a little but he's still out there proving his haters wrong time after time. Some people are just jealous of someone who is successful and has money. Throw in a hot foreign underwear model at his side and they hate him even more. You may not have wanted him in his role, but he's there now and there's nothing you can do about it. I know it’s just going to get worse over the next several days, but like him or not, Tom Brady is turning things around in Tampa.

Spanberger sounds like a DINO, if you want to blame somewhere it's not defund the police/black people:scust:
She is a DINO. Her campaign ad the she aired on TV the last month never mentioned her party or any DNC platform issues.

She is one of those that would be a Republican if they weren't racist and sexist.

Now I know the district she in, but this is who the Democrats listens too. Someone who can't mention her party or any Dem platform beliefs.

I think people here a misunderstanding AOC. Look at states like Florida where they can vote for $15 min wage and felons voting rights but go full maga for candidates.

It comes down to messaging. You don't have to run on "EAT THE RICH" AND "ABOLISH THE POLICE STATE" but there needs to be a narrative and message that gets people to come out for your side.

The GOP uses false propaganda and fear. The Dems need to offer something that will shift the narrative to what actually needs to get done and force feed it to their voters.

what was obama doing when they called him a socialist before he even got elected?

They couldn’t pin that label on him because he didn’t have any record. Plus Obama was skillful and Teflon. They couldn’t nail him with Wright or Ayers

The difference between now and then is that two of the faces of the party are now self-identified socialists. Every Dem in the country has to answer for it. The philosophy polled in the teens during the primary. If you don't think this is problematic then I don't know what to tell you. As far as her being a "DINO", until Dems find a way to gerrymander San Francisco and Brooklyn into three dozen House seats, you will need to find a way to deal with these "DINOs". I promise you her beliefs are the majority in that caucus.

Can I at least get you to admit that Bernie should have abandoned the label after 2016 and that "Defund the Police" is a terrible slogan?

I will agree that Bernie definitely has brought on and helped spread a lot of the socialist rhetoric and even owned up to being one. But as we all discussed before, he's a terrible "politician" and not who you want on the national stage. Trump and the GOP did a great job consistently blasting the entire democrat party with Bernies irresponsibility. Democrats have a large message problem, it really should be easy to consistently stay on the offense and slander a pro millionaire party such as the current republican caucus.

The Democratic Party will turn socially more towards the right post-2020. Its inevitable.
i don't think it will turn right more so that it won't let fringe social issues become lead talking points - at least i hope not. they really need to get on code: min wage, health care, climate change/green energy/green jobs, tax the wealthiest and corporations. depending on what's going on globally, you may have to sprinkle in some diplomacy/noninterventionist talk and some talk about the courts, but leave everything else alone/let it become local nuance.

Marijuana legalization is inevitable. Democrats should be pushing nation wide legalization ASAP and use it as a way to create jobs

It's convenient and the bargain basement excuse for dems to blame the left for all Ls taken.
I’m sitting here watching all these centrists lose and wondering if we are even talking about the same election. I’m sure big time progressive Steve Bullock would’ve fared better if not the defund movement. I mean if only for them leftist Cal Cunningham would’ve won in NC. nikkas sound insane and immune to self-reflection. The obvious answer is that Trump support was underestimated by everyone besides perhaps Biden himself and that wins in those red areas was always tenuous and all the money should’ve been spent keeping them. They went for Hail Marys and didn’t protect the ground they had. The Democratic Socialists didn’t run anywhere and weren’t featured prominently anywhere but a few local races and they won 80 percent of those.

It’s like any critique of Dem strategy triggers shytting on the left for no reason. It’s almost like you hate leftist activists who are black and brown and in the streets every day more than you hate a white woman scolding you from a district that Trump won 50 to 44 against Hillary Clinton. fukk is she talking about? They literally ran ads against her in 2018 criticizing her for teaching at an Islamic school.
