I get that but it doesn’t mean you can’t have the white working class as well especially since you have their interests much moreso then republicans at least financially

republicans only reached them recently culturally because of Trump

They're going to choose race/culture issues over economic issues every time. The last couple of years should make that VERY apparent.

We gotta stop with these "economic anxiety" arguments. I prefer Bernie too but the idea that he's going to win over working class white voters is naive.

How the fukk is down ballot Dems coming up short Biden's fault?:dahell:

You would of lost the POTUS to if Bernie was the nominee...:mjtf:

Stop whining and thank Biden for saving the got damn country...

It's Biden's fault because of how his strategy was to single Trump out as some sort of aberration and portray the typical Republican as "reasonable" and "decent"

The message that needed to be hammered home was that it wasn't just Trump, it was Republicans. Trump isn't an aberration, he represents what the Republicans are more than anyone else.

EVERY Republican politician should have been tied as closely to Trump as possible

Biden's strategy is how he ended up winning Maine while Susan Collins kept her seat, for example.

Republicans haven’t become more fiscally liberal, trumps nativism sounded good re “bringing jobs back” but absolutely nothing fiscally liberal has come from his administration.

and the Dems has to become more socially liberal as republicans became more socially conservative and started putting social values into the platform back in the 80’s. That ran a lot of less religious, pro life, LGBT people to the female party which of course meant the Dems then had to start advocating for more liberal social causes.

other than civil rights, which literally focus on allowing people to live equally in this country, Dems should run on an economic platform and do a better in messaging job creation that comes from moving to green energy (as well as the made in America/American dependent angle of green energy and green manufacturing - no more offshoring or foreign oil needed)

Centrist Dems will never do this tho because they get all their funding from large corporations.
They are economic republicans with better social policy because the same corporations are paying off the Republicans too
That is the whole problem.

In many ways the longer this goes on the better for Democrats...obviously if Biden wins.

That's because Trump will continue to try to degrade and erode faith in democracy and institutions and increase conspiracy thinking. This will in turn create more violent dissension in the short term against Democrats...I think you know where I am going with this. :demonic:Trumpism has to be seen as extremely evil otherwise we will keep struggling with it.

Man I'm like the liberal Karl Rove...I need to stop.
Nah dude he’s been like this the whole time, the more he does it the more people like it:francis:

This is true. I voted Bernie in the SC primaries but my parents and other olds folks in my family hit us younger folks with the
tenor.gif
And cast they’re votes for Biden:russ::salute:
The incredulity and wisdom of elder black voters in the South saved us. They knew no way in hell would a self-identified Socialist win in this current climate of aggrieved whiteness.

This is absolute fukking nonsense bruh...

Joe Biden and his team are responsible for his race, the Presidential, which they are currently about to win with 306 EC votes...

House Dems flopping with all the money they were given has ABOSULTELY nothing to do with Biden and his team...

That's a Pelosi/Schumer DNC leadership flop, take your anger up with them...

But Trump is in favor of protectionism, and he didn't favor cutting social security. He also claimed he was going to bring infrastracture. It may have been bullshyt but rhetorically it was a big break from the Paul Ryan types.

I'm also talking about the 2010s, not 80s. By the mid 2010s, the Dem platform was significantly more socially liberal than 10-20 years earlier.

I said AOC needs to be given consideration for President given the lagging Latino vote two days ago and the Anti Bernie people have been crying ever since.
