I feel stupid for being so confident that we would get a solid blowout margin, like what country do I live in to be so overconfident :russ::russ:

Same here. I thought Biden was going to get 350 EVs. I forgot this the same country that said a 12 yo Tamir Rice deserved to get shot while white mass murderers go to Burger King.

Nah breh, Bernie didn't have it. Especially with the bold. I hear that a lot on the net but it never materialized during the primaries.

Your larger point is irrelevant when it comes to VP picks, which is why you're unable to argue why.
If the DNC say the energy around Bernie's base and saw that his policies are what their base wanted, they could have fought and said "Hey constituents. Blue No Matter Who works both ways, and the energy is around Bernie. Fall in line."

Not even saying Bernie would've won, but he had the energy and the excitement at least. NO ONE was excited about Biden/Harris and it's showing right now.

Why is it not worth a shot? Are we really excited to run another centrist Dem in 2024 with the results from 2016 and today?

My fear is that Biden gets 306 electoral votes and Dems get complacent because on paper that's a decent win. But in reality Trump over-performed and his brand of populism is poised to do well in 2024, and if the Dems run the way we ran this year we are gonna get crushed in 4 years.

The DNC always learns the wrong lessons after every election and I'm concerned about that.

If Biden does pull this off, it shows me that the Dems effort is best placed in turning out black and urban white votes
The "suburban women and Latinos" thing is too hit or miss, and I think Trump actually improved with both groups.

I was mistaken into thinking there could be a Biden blowout because of the much higher enthusiasm I've seen among both AAs and whites in NYC compared to 2016. But apparently the needle was not moved much in the rust belt and Florida suburbs/rural areas that we were hoping would propel Biden to easy victory.

How you know trump will run in 2024? That orange bytch will be in jail by then, taxes released and them 1 billion in loans due
Even if Trump doesn't run in 2024 (I don't think he will) I think @Losttribe still has right to be concerned because whoever is running is likely going to run on his brand of right wing populism, and it cold be even worse because we all got lucky that Trump was an ineffective in office as he was. The next person could actually be worse just by virtue of not being narcissistic and burning every bridge with every potential ally. Trump has damaged out nation but he could've actually been worse.
