Nah breh, Bernie didn't have it. Especially with the bold. I hear that a lot on the net but it never materialized during the primaries.
Your larger point is irrelevant when it comes to VP picks, which is why you're unable to argue why.
If the DNC say the energy around Bernie's base and saw that his policies are what their base wanted, they could have fought and said "Hey constituents. Blue No Matter Who works both ways, and the energy is around Bernie. Fall in line."
Not even saying Bernie would've won, but he had the energy and the excitement at least. NO ONE was excited about Biden/Harris and it's showing right now.
Why is it not worth a shot? Are we really excited to run another centrist Dem in 2024 with the results from 2016 and today?
My fear is that Biden gets 306 electoral votes and Dems get complacent because on paper that's a decent win. But in reality Trump over-performed and his brand of populism is poised to do well in 2024, and if the Dems run the way we ran this year we are gonna get crushed in 4 years.
The DNC always learns the wrong lessons after every election and I'm concerned about that.
