i will say this; with the republicans holding the senate, the silver lining will be an unwillingness to go along with trumps bullshyt

their apocalypse scenario was the dems taking all 3 branches. but with republicans keeping the senate, that takes the temperature down from civil war to "oh well, i was tired of trump anyway" for about half of republicans, and certainly mainstream republicans and fox news

once biden wins, and mitch is still leader, we're gonna see a collective unspoken agreement to move the fukk on as a country

:usure:

I will never trust thst Turtle looking bish in regards to fairness and progress.

What progressive was in this race for them to not fucc with? Bernie crushed Joe with Latinos
among latinos who vote in democratic primaries. but then you get a quote like this out of a south texas hispanic in the general.

Election 2020 Live Updates: Nation Braces for a Long Wait, with Key States Undecided
“Everyone here is born and raised a Democrat,” Ms. Gonzalez said. But her opinion of liberals — particularly young ones — had changed in the past four years. “It’s like, ‘Give me this, give me that,’ and they don’t want to work for it.

doesn't seem like voters that's calling out for more liberalism, sounds like a typical republican.

Not to derail with a Biden vs Bernie debate but they're not two easy candidates to compare. Bernie would have to deal with the socialism tag that stupid Americans fear but he's definitely more inspiring of a candidate than Biden whose whole appeal is hes the easiest to settle for. I'm pretty positive Biden still wins, but if the Dems don't go all in on inspiring new voters as opposed to trying to compete for who can be the more moderate party with the GOP then we're all fukked:francis:
Biden had the socialism tag too and it hurt him in Florida big time
Bernie probably wouldn't win
I just see his whole gamplan against Trump not working

Trump did everything wrong this year and he is still super close to winning this thing

Bernie is a good inspiration candidate but he is not someone who can beat Trump at his own game. Dems need a strong attack dog dem akin to Trump

No this is the first time since 2000 with Bush. Bush 2004, Obama 2008,12 and Trump 16 were all clear mandated elections that were ended by midnight or earlier. Bush came in 2000 weak because of the brooks brothers revolution but was saved by 9/11 and everybody rallying for him

Votes are always counted after election day. When elections are "called" it's not official, it's based on projections.

I know y'all are speaking on AOC and Bernie for some reason even though neither will be running in 2024. But this result is deading Kamala's chances to me. I don't know what coalition she brought in here to help Biden at all.

To be honest, VP has never made much difference. But I agree, Kamala 2024 ain't it.

I have no idea what the Dems can do about the Latino vote though :yeshrug:

The only downside we will see a replay of Obama's second term which there will be more partisan gridlock and nothing gets done. The GOP will do what they always do is try to make things shytty and hope they sweep 2022 and win the White House again in 2024.
At this point I just want Trump out the White House by any means. We haven’t had a president as narcissistic in a while.
