Yeah, at this point, Biden should win. The math favors him. Most of the votes left uncounted are projected to be blue.

But the disappointment comes from the fact that this election was so close to begin with. Democrats were looking for an electoral mandate – landslide win for Biden combined with re-taking the Senate – and that didn’t happen.

So now we’ll likely have a Democratic President who barely won against a highly unpopular incumbent, and a Republican Senate that will oppose him every step of the way.

It’s really interesting, because no one is entirely happy here. Democrats should take the Presidency, but they underperformed in areas they thought they had an advantage in, and didn’t take the Senate. Republicans keep the Senate, but lose the Presidency. Supreme Court is still 6-3 GOP and there’s no chance for the Dems unless they can re-take the Senate in 2022.

Oh, and now we’re looking at a nasty court battle if Trump and the GOP decide to take it there. And they’ve already said they will.
Yeah Senate is definitely a bummer. More divided government for this country.

I hate to say this, but we need to drop the female vp stuff for now. Until now, none of those tickets have ever won. America wants two white guys at the helm. Other minorities are telling you that with their votes.
white guy from midwest/florida and a latino is what i would hope for in 2024 :yeshrug:

Dems can't run with black people anymore unless they are Obama tier
Kamalla offered nothing for Biden this cycle and he got demolished with latinos and actually lost some support from black people
AOC would be a good running mate she ticks a lot of boxes and is popular
Kamala has no charisma. She doesn’t inspire people like Obama did. Biden would have been better off choosing Michelle, lol. Although Warren would have been a better running mate.

A few thoughts based on the last few pages:

- AOC appeals to young progressive liberals, she does not appeal to boomer aged moderates
- This election has shown how impt the Midwest is to Democrats. It's imperative to build a blue wall in the upper Midwest. Gretchen Whitmer as VP on 2024 ticket is not a terrible idea.
- Dems have to groom more moderate Latinos into visible roles. Beto's congressional record aligns as a moderate. Give him a cabinet position.
- Have to change the campaign strategy in FL after losing 2016 election, 2018 Senate seat, and 2020 election. I feel only a moderate and Latino can win the older, conservative demographic there.
- Philly came out in full force for the election yest & Joe campaigned in Philly yest bc he realized how impt PA was. How satisfying it would be if Philly saves the election for Dems after Trump said bad things happen in Philadelphia during one of the debates?
- Josh Hawley & Tom Cotton are positioning themselves for a run in 2024, but I wouldn't be surprised if Cotton gets the GOP nom based on him traveling with incumbent candidates and getting more visibility.

More thoughts later today.
