as someone from the UK, the US continues to shock me. Although i can't really talk. UK has elected Boris Johnson
So you already knew the answer. People suck. Politics is so big and dirty that only big and dirty people can win.
But I said it before and I will say it again. We are going to have to walk by faith and not by sight. Eventually, something good HAS to happen in 2020.

Botched Obamacare launch, the 2013 government shutdown, Ebola, the police protests... I dunno. Obama was really unpopular in 2014, he was 41% approval.

Dems barely lost CO, NC, AK... you had longtime Dems retire in IA and MT and those flipped too. Overall, they lost NINE SEATS. NINE!

If they only lost 5, it would have been huge for 2016 when Scalia died or during Trump's first term to stop judges and the tax cuts...

Everyone talks about 2016 but the 2014 midterms are still with us and the Dems being so incompetent at winning these races is just crazy. It is clear that Trump is a unique figure in the GOP and he has managed to turn out their voters like no one since Bush 2004 or Reagan/Bush in the 1980s.
Ah wow, I didnt know Obama was that unpopular in his presidency. So it basically snowballed from there on as the Repubs capitalized on it, makes sense indeed.

Also, from what you're saying regarding the shutdown, the protests and the virus, it's telling that those 3 things played against the Dems in 2014 but played (somehow) in favor of Trump.

It means nothing

They keep talking about the remaining counties being big blue but the fact that there's even a question at this point lets me know that this is not in the bag for Biden at all

This

I still don't see how Biden can win PA.
