Wait I thought Nevada was already called in for Biden!!
3 thoughts from the outside looking in :
- what I would like to know when it's over is the popular vote. If it's wider than the Electoral College votes then you guys really should really work to ditch that shyt for the presidential election in this decade or the next (keep it for Senate or stuff like that eventually). It cant be normal that millions of votes are somewhat useless because of EC.
- I keep reading how the Dems gave in too much to their left. But at some point, you can't just keep swaying right to appease the far right. Otherwise, they give in and keep giving in just out of fear of going against people that wouldnt have voted for Dems anyway. The Trump supporters are a lost cause and the Dems should have a strong foundation of policies on which they should build the next campaigns and politicians. If that means being less progressive socially then so be it but they can't allow to be in disarray and have a candidate having to reconcile everything between the far left and the center right. It's too much of a gap to be consistent.
- ultimately the 2 party system gives thorough advantage to the party that leans towards the average feeling of its population. That election would have been easy for Trump if not for COVID (and that is despite his glaring incompency and blatant idiocy), it's crazy. The Dems will need to be able to replicate a similar feeling to 08 if they want an easier path to victory.
