Politico (and I'm assuming AP, where they're sourcing) has the current EV count: 238 Biden, 213 Trump

That means NV, WI, GA and Biden hits 270.

NV is the highest probability of the 3, where Milwaukee absentee will give Biden a big push but surrounding suburbs might push Trumps numbers, and we'd have to get enough from Fulton and Dekalb out of GA.

We could know as early as 6AM EST.

It's been the Democratic problem for years. When the Tea Party took over the right, Republicans leaned into it. They maintain/energize their base that way. Regardless of their destructive views, Republicans cater to them and give/say what they want.

Dems do the opposite. Everything you listed should be a no-brainer but the party is all over the place. There's no coherent message or plan. Progressives are the only section of the party that people can say what they stand for, whether they agree with them or not.

With Republicans, EVERYONE knows where they stand.
Thanks for taking the time to read those 2 long posts of mine you quoted. Daps and rep.

I couldn't agree more with you. The Dems need to do some work.

FEED YOUR BASE! It's rule #1 in politics.

NBC projecting Ernst wins in Iowa. :snoop:

This election was supposed to be a referendum on the neo-fascist GOP, but Dems are getting washed on all levels.

I just don't get it. Maybe those people who said voters would punish Dems for "wanting to keep the country locked down to hurt Trump" during the early days of the pandemic were right.
Should've let Covid kill millions then. Oh well

I think they were. I have liberal friends that lost their jobs during the lockdown in our state and blamed our (D) governor for it. Maybe it's a stretch to think they'd vote Trump but who the fukk knows. It's a different world right now. I wouldn't write off what your theory.

Also I know some people that were scared about the rioting in their cities as well as talks of defunding the police as well as restricting firearms to the point of cutting into gun rights beyond a simple assault weapons bans. I know defunding the police doesn't mean what it sounds like, but not everyone realizes that. A lot of people bought into Trump's "law and order" rhetoric because they were scared and were arming themselves and didn't like the idea of losing what they perceived as police protection as well as some gun rights.

No one is talking about the bolded but it was absolutely at least a small factor.
i def think the lawlessness of the riots went too far, when you have places that "aren't supposed to be hit" like rodeo drive, walnut creek, soho, etc. get looted, you've stepped into the comfort zone of those suburban voters who were gearing up to vote for biden. i think some of them might have become some of those "shy trumpers" people dismissed. how big a group are these people? i don't know, but the law and order bullshyt worked.
