He was the one of the top two most unpopular candidates in presidential history. He ran against the other. Trump only got out of the primaries because his party was very divided and didn’t coalesce around a better candidate. At that point everyone fell in line.Trump is probably one of the strongest candidates the Republicans have had since Reagan. It's just that, he's polarizing.
Trump would whoop both Bush's asses without much of a fight. I don't see a single republican anywhere near Trump since Reagan.
Yeah people act like he was a noname person. Dudes been on tv for 30/40 years. He’s strong because of years of his celebrity status and him not being a politician prior to holding the office ie: Reagan..
The Texas GOP is completely unhinged. There is no way post Trump they will go back the days of Romney and McCain.

I don't think they can just abandon the trumpism, far right is pretty much the equivalent to the progressive wing for the dems, republicans will still have to cater to trump Republicans in some way.let em
if this election has shown anything, its that trumpism has utterly contracted the republican party. if they wanna move right instead of left, and double down on racism and Qanon as their strategy, theyll be irrelevant nationally by 2028
but i dont even agree that they will, tbh. i think trump was an anomaly and guys like josh hawley and ben sasse are gonna try to reshape where the partys heading just to save it. you have sasse on tape admitting all this shyt. and at the end of the day the MAGA cult would vote for the romneys because its either that or a "socialist"
they already do just by being republicans tho republican voters fall in lineI don't think they can just abandon the trumpism, far right is pretty much the equivalent to the progressive wing for the dems, republicans will still have to cater to trump Republicans in some way.
They wont abandon it because they won using it. Theyre too stupid to adapt. They tried going more middle right twice and lost. They werent wanting to be so openly far right until it worked. Now that wont stop unless they keep losing because of it.I don't think they can just abandon the trumpism, far right is pretty much the equivalent to the progressive wing for the dems, republicans will still have to cater to trump Republicans in some way.
