Seeing the WaPo announcement come through on my phone in the middle of the night when I was sleeping in 2016 was an immediate gut punch to my semi state of consciousness at the time. I went back to bed like

I missed the fukkery of that night because I was at Barclays for a Nets game. I didn't check what happened until I was waiting for the train to get home. It wasn't "official" yet, but I got home in time to see Van Jones crying and I peeped my timeline and yeah, shyt was crazy.

At least now I'll get to stay home and watch nonstop coverage.

Speaking of Atlanta, imagine for a second Bernie is the nominee, 0% chance either of these two hold a rally with him. You could say that about a dozen or so state races in Texas where moderate Dems are prime to flip the seat. So many Democrats across the South and Midwest would be running away from Bernie if he was the nominee. God, it would have been a disaster.

Bernie would have made Trump look foolish in the debates but unfortunately the "socialist" tag would have stuck because this country doesn't even understand it and Bernie would have lost probably every state Clinton lost except maybe Michigan.
