A lot of people are attracted to his bravado. For all the people who pearl clutch how he acts there is a lot of people who find it cool and attractive enough to want to vote for him. This dude during his campaign stops in Minnesota pretty much said everything short of kicking all Somalis out of the country. I can't think of any other reason to find that appealing outside of being a rebel against orthodoxy or finding something about his behavior appealing.

There are a lot of dumb folks who if you spit in their face and call them stupid as a politician and you have enough "swag" while doing it, instead of being offended you spit in their face, they are impressed you had the balls to do it. There is some speculation this being why he is popular among some hispanics since it's very reminiscent of autocratic dictator types that get popular in a lot of South American countries.
