:scust: why is Congress allowing this? Dude can just do whatever he wants with no oversight?

They have too little oversight and the background on why is yet another reason some of us still are salty with a certain high profile non Democratic Senator. :stopitslime:

Sanders' decision in 2015 and 2016 to block two of the Obama administration's nominees -- made at the behest of powerful union leaders -- and McConnell's decision to block the rest in retaliation created a unique opportunity for President Donald Trump to appoint a full slate of picks to a panel that is meant to be comprised of bipartisan members serving staggered, seven-year terms.

Why give anyone the ammo to use it against you?

Regardless, Joe said he'll have something once Barrett is confirmed. He's just waiting for them to go through with it after Democrats repeatedly asking the GOP not to force things. They asked for it. :yeshrug:
What ammo though? He has every right to pack the courts

Reporter: Joe, are you going to add supreme court justices?
Joe: Look here, you were around in 2016 right? A decent man and honorable judge in Neil Gorsuch couldnt even be interviewed to be confirmed. He was completely dismissed with 8 months until an election. No matter what side of the aisle you are on you have to see we are dealing with some of the most vile and nasty senators the country has ever seen. This isn't an American problem, this is a problem with a few dozen people up there. Now this same Senate is trying to cram through a justice in the next 2 weeks. I dont have a problem with Barrett, but the process is so corrupt it must be leveled out. So to answer your question, you have to fight fire with fire, they asked for this and they're going to get it. Im going to load the courts until they burst at the seams.

He is hopeful. :manny:

FTR, I don't know if it is a done deal but I also don't think Biden and the Dems are that stupid to not see whats happening.

And it cannot be something weak like two justices. You need to at least go with four, and IMO should be 10 or 12 and add age/term limits.
Term limits is what's really important, I'd be ok with fewer justices if we can get a reasonable term limit
