Exactly. And people aren't lying to the polls either because it would take a huge coordinated effort on many people's part to answer exactly like Democrats which is silly and next to impossible. The average voter does not know the platform of the either party that well.
Has anyone on here been polled for a presidential election before? If so how easy would it be to lie or do they have checks in place to weed out the bullshyters?

No winner will be announced on Election Day unless trump losses big red states. Should take days for a winner to be announced
No winner will be announced but you'll know election day if this will be a more drawn out process of if it's gonna go quick. There are at least 4 states that if Trump loses them its game over that will have results election night.
With these states that have mail-in/early voting, wouldn't their votes have already been counted and recorded by Election Day? Given the amount of people who have already voted (something like 20% of 2016 total votes have already been cast), I would imagine some of these states would have a clearer idea of a winner on Election Night.
There are states like Michigan that can't really even process mail in ballots until election day. Also you'll have other states that could have ballots coming in for like a week after the election.

because ohio, pennsylvania, wisconsin and michigan are probably going to take a while to get results from (and trump needs those states) we won’t know if he won on election night, or if biden won with a small margin with those states

but NC, florida, arizona should come in quickly. if biden wins 2/3 of those states its game over

I really think that the Absentee Ballot/Early Voting is under-represented in terms of election night. Yes, while some states can start counting them on election day, usually the focus is more on in-polling.

However we are talking a pandemic, so I believe, and maybe this is me, blue states have already prepared for this by allocating more resources to counting them up.

But we will see.

Also, 2 important states start counting absentee/mail-in ballots before Election Day (Florida & North Carolina). We will have a good amount of results in from those 2 states and those results will give good indicator of who is going to win.
