The pressure here was on Trump IMO. He could've at least kept negotiations open. Now you've got people who have an incentive to vote for Joe just due to stimulus alone.

Tanking the stock market and holding off on help after all assistance has run out is just not a good look for him.
but the fact remains that a 1.6 trillion dollar bill was offered and on the table :yeshrug: i mean im sorry, but im missing how pelosi scored a win for those who are out of work, and would have got 1200 and 400 a week per the bill, and now get absoluty nothing

Because they will get more if Biden wins. It’s a win win for them. He broke it off so that’s on them not her.

No one is going to blame Pelosi though. I think almost everyone on Twitter is in shock right now. :russ:

GOP Senators are toast. He killed them off in one tweet.

So the blame is all with her for rejecting the GOP bill, but none is with the GOP for rejecting the (better) Dem bill? :childplease:

yes. the dems had zero leverage to get that bill passed, and the starting point is 0 because not one cent of these bills are being paid for

Yeah that guy's been emotional in two threads now. The onus was on Trump to get this done if nothing else but to keep his facade of a free stock market up and running.

Besides that, to take the argument that Pelosi failed anything is interesting. Because the Republican party is this bastion of truthfulness that didn't bail all their buddies out and sit on small business loans, blocking actual small businesses from getting anything. And all we common folk got to show for it is $1200, so yeah I'm willing to bet this is on Republicans.

And even if it wasn't, look at the heat Trump created for himself and his entire party. I was wondering what was the next play after that lame House vote Dems did to pass blame. That didn't even need to happen lmao, Trump took a wrecking ball to the image GOP was building of Dems being unfair by being loud and arrogant.

Pelosi isn’t the President. Americans aren’t going to blame the democrats here
