i get what the article is saying but i dont know how they could more effectively directly appeal to non-religious voters. they mention how secular people have values too but im not sure what that would really mean, cause it seems like non-religious people just share a non-adherence to religious institutions. i guess by stressing separation of church and state and contrasting it with the republican approach

Pro science, pro logic, pro rationalism, pro humanism, pro secularism, reenforce and strengthen the separation of church and state.
