Call me crazy but I think the evangelicals will play a huge roll in this election.

Nah, that vote is pretty tied up with Trump. They aren't leaving him.
Agreed. But on the religious tip, it would be nice if Biden spoke more about his Catholic faith. Thought Warren should have done the same in the primary considering she was a Sunday School teacher. Never talked about it to Black voters...:smh:

I know Dems don't want to scare off the purple haired crowd in San Francisco, but they really should stop surrendering the faith argument to Republicans. For example, if Biden wins, he'd only be the second Catholic president in our history. How is this not being presented ad nauseam to Hispanic voters in the South and Italians in PA/OH?

While the elections are far away, political time wise, and the polls don't totally compare to vote number, I think Ohio and Iowa say alot for Biden's chance along with Trump's report about his fading White numbers. It doesn't mean Ohio will go to Biden, but it means even more that Biden is locking down states.

Trump's plan to steal the election via Supreme Court is smart. The problem though, like all of Trump's life, is a constant failure to do it right. Trump is banking on making the election close to stake a claim about election interference.

Instead he has closed his group to a tight bubble, thinking his base is enough to win it. It's not a winning strategy.

That's interesting. 538 says its the opposite.

More And More Americans Aren’t Religious. Why Are Democrats Ignoring These Voters?

We are already in the election breh. Some states already have early voting and absentee voting (including the state you're in - Wisconsin).

i get what the article is saying but i dont know how they could more effectively directly appeal to non-religious voters. they mention how secular people have values too but im not sure what that would really mean, cause it seems like non-religious people just share a non-adherence to religious institutions. i guess by stressing separation of church and state and contrasting it with the republican approach

Man I keep asking myself who the fukk would vote Clinton but not for biden?

Like who has trump gained? Why wouldn't biden do better than Clinton?

Just my general non-scientific thoughts this evening
A recent YouGov poll showed that only 1% of Clinton 2016 supporters are now supporting Trump. On the other hand, 8% of Trump 2016 supporters are now supporting Biden.

Beats me. :yeshrug:

I don't think Biden is the right guy if you're going to message specifically to secular people. Leave that for 2024.
