Also, the second most important election happening this November might be the Cunningham vs. Tillis race in North Carolina.

Unfortunately, Bullock (MT), Greenfield (IA), and Ossoff (GA) have faded a bit in their races. I don't think Dems pick up any of those seats so they have to win North Carolina to ensure a 50/50 split in the Senate and a somewhat functional Biden presidency. The party (DNC) would be wise to invest their resources there.

Collins is hated and those flinty New England cacs don't like being lied to. I'm not surprised ME is that wide open at all.

The fukkery would have to be blatant and massive indeed for any electoral college tie involving split EC votes like ME or NE.

Man if we’ve ever need the green new deal it’s right fukking now:what:

all these people without jobs and the wildfires in California/Oregon. Their is a solution in front of your faces but you’re worried because it’s too “socialist”

Yeah but we gotta worry about the people in Western Pennsylvania. Or something

One of the advantages of binning the electoral college is that those useless redneck "swing voters" become a non factor

The thing with fracking few people seem to get: it's also a play to further undermine Russia and Saudi Arabia

Them nikkas know keeping oil prices low as the world economy starts to recover more is gonna hurt - and so does Biden :smugbiden:

I do choose to believe him and the Dems though that long term they have to get us away from a carbon producing/internal combustion engine based economy

But it's a cost intensive way of getting oil from the ground, haven't most of the frackers here gone bankrupt since oil prices crashed? It'll be a long time (especially with COVID) before prices return to the $100 benchmark when it made fracking and oil sands profitable. I'm not sure why it's this red line people are making it out to be.

Biden’s weakness with Black and Latino men creates an opening for Trump

Politico says Biden needs to do more with latino and black voters.

Has anyone written a “Trump needs to do more” piece yet?

Every Biden article since that Florida poll has been “Biden is weak with [insert demographic]”.

At some point, the numbers don’t add up.
Politico always does this sh!t. They always make some "Biden/Dems in Disarray" article but almost never make a "Trump/GOP in disarray" article.

Biden can win the election decisively but yet Politico will write an article the next day about "How the 2020 election shows warning signs for a President Biden/VP Harris in 2024" :mjlol:

Because the election is (in my view understandably) viewed through the context of 2016. Call it PTSD or whatever but it is what it is.

Regardless of polls people are going to feel like Trump has an advantage and will overperform. Maybe that's not true but it's better for Dems to have that mindset regardless :yeshrug:

The government, even if D dominated in some way at some point will subsidize it. Aside from the geopolitics angle it also will give an economic boost that will pay political dividends. The left flank of the Ds will hate it, but Russia and Saudi Arabia have to be kneecapped especially after the events of the last 5-20 years.

I get it but this is Politico. If you're reading Politico, you're probably very informed on how this race is playing out. Probably overly so. It's annoying.

Trump is down 7 nationally, is getting boat raced in multiple states he won in 2016, his campaign is hemorrhaging cash and pulling TV ads of out crucial swing states and no one says shyt.
