The Case for Consequences

Already the theoretical hand wringing over this shyt. Biden and Harris MUST see this through or the same rot will consume us for I dunno how many decades to come. In the words of a Twitter pundit "a Transnational Crime Syndicate Masquerading as a Government" :pacspit:

I don't see Biden pardoning Trump, but at the same time I don't see Biden taking an active role in prosecuting a former president. He'll copy Ford, "bind the wounds of the nation"*, and let it be.

*whatever the fukk that means (Future voice)

Biden shouldn't take an active role in prosecuting Trump. He should just let his AG and New York prosecutors do their thing.

I can see this being a possibility too but it'd be a mistake. The Dems have to be Lannisters and capitalize on the "Trump Crime Administration" relentlessly. The legal system and FBI/CIA (our beloved old so-called "Deep State") must be allowed to do the thing :takedat:

I wouldn't put it beyond Trump to offer himself a blanket pardon for all crimes committed in federal office :francis:

That's where states' attorneys general come in. Over to you, Letitia James/Xavier Becerra :mjlit:

Not really. Trump saved Pence's political career by adding him as VP; before that the party was pushing for him not to run again for Governor of Indiana. As mentioned by others, Pence is polarizing but for completely different reasons than Trump.

So from the answers, dude is more like some ultra conservative, anti lgbt, super religious fallen out of time relict, am i getting that right ?
Which would probably still be better than complete incompetence like trump where you wouldnt even be surprised if he just started shytting his pants on stage by now :snoop:

On August 14, the coronavirus pandemic was on fire in the US. More than 168,000 Americans had died, with more than 1,300 deaths that day alone. But when President Donald Trump called legendary journalist Bob Woodward, it was to find out one thing: He had recently learned that Woodward's new book "Rage" was done and would be coming out in September, and Trump wanted to find out how he'd be portrayed.

It was their 19th conversation, following 18 interviews that formed a key component of Woodward's book. Trump had privately told Woodward in February he knew critical details about how deadly the virus was, and in March admitted he was playing it down.

On August 14, Trump peppered the veteran two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist with questions about the book and what exactly was in it.

Woodward and Trump continued to debate Trump's response to the pandemic and how it will be critical to the presidential election. When Woodward told Trump that the election will be a contest between him, former Vice President Joe Biden "and the virus," Trump insisted, "Nothing more could have been done."

He added: "I acted early."

Since the critical details of what Trump withheld about the virus have become public, the President has tried to shift the conversation.

'Nothing more could have been done': Trump's final phone call to Woodward

Dianne Feinstein is a basically a dinosaur fossil. It's a shame that she didn't have a better and more-well known primary challenger in 2018 (Kevin De Leon was mediocre).

At least Barbara Boxer (who is 7 years younger than Feinstein) knew when to retire. This old bat thinks that her Senate seat is her's for eternity:hhh:
