It’s his response. He handles this 50% better just on speaking about it and he likely wins in Nov.

It gave Trump an opportunity to rise to the occasion. Instead, it exposed who he always has been. An incompetent failure.

Well it did happen and he didn't rise to the occasion as a great leader would. Almost like it was a test. Except Trump didn't have someone to take the test for him this time and he didn't bother to try.

George floyd would have still fukked him, regardless Biden was the constant favorite and Trump never had an approval rating over 50%. Trump would still lose but it’d be much closer

* if it was a fair and free election. Trump would still try to cheat. He may still win this election but only if it’s rigged

It gave Trump an opportunity to rise to the occasion.

This.
If he wouldve handled this well, Im sure he wouldve got props/votes for it, even from people who arent super trump fanatics normally.
Its always in times of crisis where someones leadership is put to the test, and dude completely exposed himself with reacting like a mentally challenged coward.

I don't hate the policies in a vacuum. I don't think many people do. I think some of them are good ideas.

However, I find some of the policies and views espoused by progressives on domestic issues and foreign relations don't align with some of my values. I find some of them to extremely idealist, unrealistic, and sometimes ignorant of how this country operates. It is what it is. I just don't find myself agreeing with progressives enough to call myself a progressive. :manny:

On another note, progressives also have a messaging problem. Many of them seem to a have similar idea to the far right in that a revolution will solve all of our problems. I don't agree. The system can work and I think much of the American public thinks similarly.
You sound so naive. Also, progressives want a political revolution to restructure power dynamics through grassroots civic engagement.

The far right wants a fascism imposed by the threat of violence to protect the ruling class from the undesirables that has little regard for the rule of law.

Ridiculous that you would equate those.

When Progressives learn they can't policy wonk their way to the top, they'll start making shyt shake.

In this aspect, Biden probably is one of the best people to watch.
Being a politician is just as much as sales as anything else. People have to have confidence in your ideas and confidence in you no matter how shytty those ideas may be.

:mjlol:

This is someone who has played the fence his entire political career. He's not going to be bold. And his mind will first and foremost be with the noble moderate Republicans and Reagan (hint: subtle racist) Democrats in Wisconsin and Western Pennsylvania. Already there's reports of him worrying about the deficit (:wtf:) and eliminating the filibuster.

I'll put good money down on this too. This "heal the soul of the nation and don't rock the boat too much" schtick, he's gonna carry it all the way into 2025, book it.
A lot of so-called leftists are gonna be disappointed when Biden gets in and starts deficit hawking and listening to Rick Wilson and Ana Navarro. I don’t even think he’s going to push for a public option added to Obamacare. Probably just lowering the Medicare age, childcare and some other means-tested expansions.
