Judging by the sound they cut the gas lines at some point. You can hear them hissing.

As far as frozen chicken and hot grease....

Fred.

This episode maybe the last time we truly get to see James Morgan McGill. The entire episode up to possible the blowup at Hamlin, was all Jimmy and not Saul was present throughout this episode. And that's why we kept on seeing conflict. Even the suits aren't the usual colorful Saul suits. This was Jimmy the entire time trying to push back his Saul persona. That's why the whole Hamlin thing is significant, because that flipped the switch and we saw Saul in full display as a defense mechanism because he knows that Hamlin pities him and Saul rejects that Hamlin pities him.

I actually try to be like that, if you have a grudge or anger towards someone, you pray for them, (non religiously) in my case (which comes from when I went to rehab/got sober when I was a kid, so don't take me for some sort of self appointed saint)

But, to many people, that kind of inner peace, can only be met with more anger, like the way Saul reacted.

was weird Gus being out with Nacho. you'd think he wouldn't be there because anyone from cartel could be watching Nacho.

good ep. Saul's ego flexes from last episode went full super saiyan in the end of this one. got him married and a cartel friend, can't argue with results. low key kim marrying him instead of breaking up with her definitely contributed to this transformation.

and I know many already made parallels between Sauls and Chucks outbursts, but Id add Kim yelling at her boss as well. All outbursts were made after they've been accused and rightfully so. Chuck was going crazy with the electricity shyt, Kim was in cahoots with Jimmy, and Saul was in pain watching that family cry, and also was the one who threw bowling balls and sent hookers. All accusations were correct.

Jimmy didn't even really think that Howard was to blame for Chuck's death

I was expecting a big fire from the frozen chicken dropping in flaming hot oil I was just confused when there was a big explosion that quick.
You dozed off when he turned the gas all the way? It was right before inspecting the friers one more time before...bombing the place :russ:

This episode analysis PERFECTLY explains how all of them are accountable of Chuck's demise with Jimmy really the only one who haven't reconciled. It really sums up Kim's struggles with being with Jimmy too.

Short answer is, Gus is a fan favorite and it was a cool scene with Nacho.

Long answer is, the writers said Gus wasn't as cautious earlier in the time line. Which is why he's doing shyt with Nacho, it's why he killed the Mexican dude in the parking lot, etc.

I mean, yeah most of this stuff is pretty obvious. Saul tries to pass off the guilt onto Howard. He also tries to shut it down by being a prick to Howard and fully giving in to his ego. At some point before BB starts, he doesn't have much guilt left in him. Or he just carries it deep down.

well, Gus is super careful when he starts business with Walt/Jesse, this on other hand, was extremely reckless. Not only was he risking Nacho's life, but also a war he tries to avoid in the first place. So yeah, I accept it as a cool scene. Also, I know Nacho has some of Lalo's trust, but Lalo's intuition probably would make him put some eyes on Nacho. There was little reason for Nacho risk/reward-wise to go spiderman to retrieve those rocks aside from gaining Lalo's trust, and an alarm should've went off.

More of the characters of the BB universe are coming into place and it was kinda interesting to see slimy ass Lydia there. She certainly seemed less stiff and neurotic than her BB character but this is well before the lab and the Heisenberg fukkery, so she’s kicking it with her boss in the hotel and popping bottles.

Hell of a ways from a nervous cup of tea with Stevia.

And real talk, I would love to see a Fring Netflix movie that just dives into his past and just ends with him building up his first Pollos franchise. Fring is one of the backbones of the BB/Saul universes right along with Mike.

Gotta respect Kim for going back after that first meeting and letting the Mesa Verde crew know what the fukkin deal was. At that point she was on some :yeshrug: shyt when it came to whether she would still be their lawyer or not. But she had the balls to find out sooner than later. And like she said, if they kept her, she didn’t want to be walking on eggshells forever. Mesa Verde is a long play that will always pay, so she knew any differences had to be settled.

Still curious to see how she exits this show.

And did we know Jimmy was married twice before this “marriage” to Kim? At the clerk’s office they asked if he had the paperwork for his 2 previous dissolutions? Wonder if that was a nugget just for the moment or will his ex wives pop up now that his profile as a lawyer (and face) will be everywhere soon.
Lydia is less nervous because no one got busted yet. You notice how causal she said guys get killed in prison all day? She has already put the green light on some people before. Also Peter Schuler was a killer back in the day with Gus in Chile. Those guys must in serious work for this guy to kill himself before even being questioned by the police. He rode for Gus till his death.
