At this point I'm really enjoying al the nuances of this show possibly more than BrBa. BrBa was incredibly nuanced but I think this is even moreso. I've never seen a show that rewards paying attention quite as much as this one. If they stick the landing then Vince G and Peter G might be able to say they made 2 of the top 3-5 all time best TV shows.

BCS definitely has top 3-5 potential right now.
Breaking Bad is a GOAT level show, this show is nowhere near as well written and not even close to the entertainment factor.

Y'all ain't gotta go over the top for every Gilligan project, truth is this show is not as good and doesn't have anywhere near the buzz BB had :yeshrug:

I love the show but it shouldn't be making any top 5 lists. There's nothing ground breaking or next level here.

To me it's hard to separate. BrBa and BCS in my mind are intertwined, almost like a movie and its prequel. Both shows make the other better.

I don't really care if it has buzz or not @DetroitEWarren :manny:

I do know when I watch BCS that I find myself bored with the cinematography and writing of most other shows. It's definitely a slow burn show, and some people might not like that. I found the first couple seasons to be a little boring, but season 3 and 4 I thought were must-watch TV, and so is this current season.

I do think @Supa that there is something ground breaking here. Or at least something novel. I can't think of another show where essentially the long-term of outcome of every character is either 100% known or is very easy to guess. By and large, we know what happens to every single one of the these characters. This allows the writers to create a beautiful, sow moving train wreck. They can indulge in how the tragic downfall happens for these people.

I think that's pretty unique. This show is very understated; from the writing all the way to the performances. Maybe I overstated it when I said top 5, because it is sort of a retread of what BrBa already did. But I like the different take on people circling until they fall from grace.

I just really love this fictional sandbox universe they've created.

Fasho :ehh:

I can for sure understand what u mean fam. We all know Vince Gilligan can create greatness on the screen and because of the quality of BB, we expect nothing but greatness from him.

I think it fine to just say that the show is just "good". It's not hate or misguided judgement, it's just speaking on the face that BB was GREATNESS, BCS is GOODNESS, which is perfectly fine :yeshrug:.

I for sure want to see how the Kim situation plays out, but that interest has more to do with her being an unknown in the Breaking Bad universe and me wanting to know where the hell she was at, IF EVEN ALIVE DURING THE BB TIMELINE :ohhh:.

I think a lot of people over exaggerate this show because of the BB connection, I don't think y'all need to do that, show is good enough to hold it's own. The Coli doe, nikkas would say this shyt is the GOAT when it's not even top 20 :yeshrug:

This is not a top 3 show. You said if they stick the landing but they didn't get a good jump because the first seasons had some serious pacing issues.

First seasons dud have some pacing issues. Imo BrBa did too (season 2 I’m looking at you) but BCS has 2 seasons with issues and I thought BrBa season 1 was just fine.

I'll put it like this, cause I agree, Season 1 of BB was slow and almost didn't grab me.............. Until the finale :wow:, Tuco was crazy as hell and I wanted to see how they got out of that situation. By like ep 3 or 4 of season 2, you knew the show was special.

No bullshyt, I have watched BB ALL THE WAY THRU like 6 times, 5 times was always with the chick u was fukkin wit at the time, it took all of them til season 2 to make them wanna watch all of it.

The other time I put a bunch of my nikkas on to it when I had the lil chill house in the neighborhood, all them nikkas went the same way, by season 2 they were hooked.

I can't go put BCS on and have anywhere near the same result. If I just started from the beginning of this season though, they would continue to watch.

The Chuck shyt just won't fly with most, including nerds and a lot of Hollywood reviewers, shyt was not entertaining thru that timeline :yeshrug:

I thought BCS was better while Chuck was still alive. Season 2 and 3 had some very high quality episodes.

Now it's kinda like watered down BB

I don’t think sauls storyline feels like BB at all. Mikes storyline maybe but only because so many characters from BB are involved

I watched the first 2 seasons week to week as they aired and I liked it initially but by the end of the 2nd season I was bored with it so I didn’t watch the 3rd and 4th season until this month.

I don’t know if it’s the binge watching of 3 and 4 that made it better or if the show just got a lot better but I definitely like the direction of 3 and 4 and where it’s going in 5.
