Gus is surveilling everything at this point because now that the DEA is sniffing around, he’s gotta figure out how to move in super stealth mode. But the Feds pulling up could be a gift in disguise since they will inevitably cross paths with team Salamanca and wind up killing/arresting some of their soldiers.

you saw how Hank flat out lied to his troops about making an arrest while distracting them with that $700gz from the dead drop. Hank won’t let the lack of arrests slide and now he knows who/what is on his radar.

A slick ass dude like Gus didn’t get into his crosshairs until the motherfukka was literally serving the whole DEA chicken from Pollos :russ:

Nah I'm thinking he didn't care if they got the money (well, as much as someone can not care about $700k....but I think he just charged that to the game) he was more concerned with his goons getting caught.

I also think he gave them $700k in one spot (as opposed to the original $500k Krazy-8 mentioned) so the DEA could wrap the situation up faster. As opposed to the three dead drops....because Hank said "one drop left, that's us" and Gomie said "you think he'll do all three?"....meaning, the other two spots had nothing in them.

It's basically the same shyt that happened in "The Wire". If you put money and/or dope on the table....arrest a couple people....take some pics....nobody (the public, law enforcement, politicians) cares if you actually solved any crimes. Which is why Hank was like :jbhmm:

Another parallel with The Wire was "going upstream" / follow the money.

If you follow the product you know it winds up in some nostrils/vein but following the money you never know where it might lead you.

The thing that makes me appreciate this show is that we know the outcome of most of it but somehow it makes us anxious as hell.

Wish HBO had Vince on the last GoT season :(

Tonight's episode was given a "9.9".

I think there's going to be some advanced plot progression and action in this one. VG does that every so often.

The slow burn may be turned up a little.

TURNED OUT TO BE
THE SLOWEST EP OF THE SEASON...

Kim and Saul laid up in the bed.

They showed WRONG person with no clothes

Call me crazy. I feel like even that naked Saul scene was a metaphor. Jimmy has no shame and is putting it all out there as Saul right now (i.e. his meeting with Howard). While Kim is still protective of her career and letting people see the true her (i.e. Getting Saul to do her dirty work. Breaking bottles but cleaning them up after.) :banderas:Vince you sonofabytch.

I always thought Hamlin was ok. I remember like 2-3 seasons ago I said they picked the whitest, squarest looking guy to play him so he seems shady off GP, but he hasn't actually done anything bad. Not really. He's just kind of a stereotypical clueless rich white guy. Which is a minor character flaw given the universe he exists in.

Something I forgot to mention earlier, I have no idea what Kim's end game is vis-a-vis Mesa Verde. Dude with the beard that called her up last week (her boss, can't remember his name, from the other law firm, not Davis & Main or HHM) knows Saul is her boyfriend. So unless she's at the point where she don't give a fukk about losing that job....I dunno how she's gonna separate herself from what she told Saul to do.

I just thought of something. :ohhh:

What if she and Saul fake a big ass argument/break up and it's painted as Saul taking on that case to "get revenge" against her?

EDIT:
Episode 6 this season is called "Wexler v. Goodman". :ohhh:

I feel like a lot of people think Kim's exit is gonna be a situation where Jimmy goes too far and she can't reel him in, but I'm thinking it will be the opposite. something akin to half measures vs full measures.

either way, think Kim is in for as bad an end as we've seen so far

Wexler v Goodman is going to be about the Mesa Verde case. It's why Saul took on the client.

Yeah obviously but if they're on opposite sides in the courtroom then I'm assuming Mesa Verde doesn't know Kim told Saul to take on Acker as a client. Which would be kind of hard to hide without theatrics considering they're dating.

Just so you don't have to rewind to that scene, you can have it as wallpaper now.
