The writers room of "Breaking Bad" would insert what they call narrative hooks. Basically references to things or people they could add onto later on.

They actually wrote two entire seasons like that. Season 2, they had no idea what the teddy bear was for. Vince Gilligan just said "a pink teddy bear floating in a pool" and they went from there.

Same thing with the machine gun from season 5A. They had no idea what it would be used for when they first showed it.

There's dozens of smaller examples in the series though, like Nacho and Lalo.

Fred.
When they first showed Jack's crew at the motel going over the jail hits, I had a strong suspicion that Walt was going after them. I had no idea why, but I just felt he was.

I did assume that Walt's entire family was dead though.

Plus Howard. His fate is just as intriguing, at least to me it is.
Yeah exactly. I mean nobody knows what any of their fates are. Especially with no mention in breaking bad. Can only hope for the best but who knows what the last two seasons hold for characters like howard and kim. i think kim has the higher chance of being killed off tho.

Finished the season 4 finale earlier this evening and now I'm playing the waiting game. :francis:

While waiting for Netflix to drop it I checked out godfather of :dame: and really enjoyed that. Good thing narcos coming back soon to hold me over for a bit. Don't know what else I can watch. I'm questionable on the witcher, my other shows aren't returning until later this spring/summer or have no release date just that another season coming. I started to watch the inmate. Maybe I'll finish that if I get the chance.

The Werner situation perfectly explains frings downfall with Walt

Allows Werner to continue to fall behind with no punishment

takes all precautions to sneak his team into New Mexico then allows them to go to titty bar to expose their location

Werner tells random people about the project in the bar

still no punishment

let’s Werner speak longer to his wife to set up details to meet

He escapes

we’re willing to let him back until lalo figures out his name

Werner kept pushing the envelope until he escaped, a firm hand might of shook him. Even after all that bullsh!t Werner still thought he could come back on that isolated field

Oh yeah, he could do his own thing.

One thing I thought of from that desert scene. Saul mentions Mr Mayhew. Was that the guy with the money from way back in season 1? The guy with the family that went camping.

That was from when Walt met with Saul earlier in the day, and was pretending to be Badgers uncle, when Badger got popped by the undercover in the park. Badgers real name is Brandon Mayhew
