Is that the desert scene or another one? Thought he mentioned both memes but couldn't tell. I do see what you mean since Nacho was kinda skeptical when he first met Lalo. Plus he was already on high alert after what he did and Gus suspecting him. I'm only on episode two of season 4 and since it feels like it's been five years since it got released my memory is fuzzy other than the lab being built storyline. Maybe I'll pick up some unseen details as I go along since binge watching is better for memory purposes.

It has to be the desert scene, Saul mentions them both.

It was this scene but they cut it out.
I remember him saying "it was Nacho he's the one you want".

Plausible but they foreshadowed Nacho heavy when Saul thinks he's about to die in a desert. I'm thinking he does something big before he calls for the vacuum repair escape.
Killing Lalo could be it and Saul hooks him up with the vacuum guy without knowing he did that.

He doesn’t need the vacuum man, he already has fake passports for him and his dad in his safe
Oh yeah, he could do his own thing.

One thing I thought of from that desert scene. Saul mentions Mr Mayhew. Was that the guy with the money from way back in season 1? The guy with the family that went camping.

Oh true. Forgot that part. Damn. Crazy how they had those refereneces to characters in a whole different series. :mindblown:
Exactly. And I don't know how long they were planning BCS but doubt it was when that scene was made. Unless Vince had everything thought up from before. But if not, the story has to tie together somehow at the end. It's different with characters like Nacho, Lalo, and Kim cuz we know the others fate but with them they gotta write their story without jeopardizing the value of the entire story. They seem to be doing a great job so far.

The writers room of "Breaking Bad" would insert what they call narrative hooks. Basically references to things or people they could add onto later on.

They actually wrote two entire seasons like that. Season 2, they had no idea what the teddy bear was for. Vince Gilligan just said "a pink teddy bear floating in a pool" and they went from there.

Same thing with the machine gun from season 5A. They had no idea what it would be used for when they first showed it.

There's dozens of smaller examples in the series though, like Nacho and Lalo.

Plus Howard. His fate is just as intriguing, at least to me it is.
