That article is :picard:

If the tables were turned we'd never hear the end of it. But right now they're going to be that way because it's too painful for them to recognize that THEY are the problem.

Undocumented people in certain states may get more medical help while they are here, it finds, thanks to the current administration’s effort to give states more flexibility with their health care spending. And in a reversal of the previous administration’s stance, states may find it easier to get that permission.

More bad policy. :Legoderas:

It's ideological. Even though Hillary and Obama had a much more heated and ugly primary in 2008, it wasn't about ideology.

Bernie's rise blindsided a lot of people in the Dem establishment orbit. The goal right now is to thwart Bernie from getting the nomination as it is a real possibility this time around. If Bernie somehow got the nomination, there'll be a dragging of the feet of the Dem donors and party bosses to get behind his candidacy despite the threat of a 2nd Trump term. Bernie will be outraised significantly by Trump but he may have more guns i.e. people on the ground in many states volunteering their butts off.

I think we'll have a situation like Ben Jealous had in Maryland in 2018. The difference being that Jealous faced a popular incumbent. Bernie will be facing an unpopular incumbent. Bernie also is a way better fundraiser. But similarly, when Republican PACs and whatnot attack him relentlessly, the Democratic ones won't be as robust defending him.

I can see all of this shaping up in Summer 2020 after the DNC Convention.
