serious question, outside of roe v wade, which they already have enough judges to overturn and some people think the repubs wont actually federally overturn it because then they can no longer use it to garner votes. but outside of that, what else is the SC going to do differently whether its trump or biden? is the democrat judge going to overturn citizens united? they gonna stop gerrymandering and all that ? like seriously what else is a democratic judge good for except making roe vs wade a closer loss if its overturned?

At the end of the day, I'd rather have the Dems win the WH and Senate and see how an energized progressive movement holds things to the fire this time around. The war machine is bigger than politicians. And yes, there'll be Wall Street ghouls but its nothing new.

SCOTUS is still gonna be GOP run. But we have to replace Ginsburg and Breyer with very young judges. We only need 51 votes now, so winning the Senate is even more important.

The federal courts below it is a big problem if Trump wins again and McConnell is still Senate Majority Leader.

It was a huge drop of the ball on his part. Considering the history of “Black Power” and people like Stokley Carmichael organizing and empowering Black voters in the Deep South.

Maybe he felt like establishment Dems had too much of a leg up since Biden was O’s VP but it doesn’t mean you completely ignore that segment of voters. In fact, progressives have done a bad job of reaching out to the poor white voters that are increasingly flocking over to trump. You would think the progressive bloc would have poor whites, poor/middle class Blacks, and immigrants all together under one accord. They gotta solve that.

I really don’t get why he didn’t do that. He would’ve easily garnered support. He went out of his way to win the Hispanic vote tho. He could’ve did both and been better off for it.

He downplayed the black vote significantly while championing for the projected new minority leaders of the Democratic Party; hispanics.

Black ppl losing their political power within the Democratic Party is something a lot of black ppl don’t want to happen.

Plus black ppl in the south just vote different, tons of black South Carolinians voted for Tim Scott for the senate and Hilary for president, the south has a “black first” mentality that Bernie refused to cater to.

There are other progressives in all levels of government that need everyone's vote in Nov. Just cause You mad at Joe Biden doesnt mean that progressives at the local and state level gotta suffer too. That's selfish for You to do that for them. Even Bernie Sanders himself will tell you that.
