So Bernie fam, I got more Bernie props and strategy in the mix for my weekly podcast. This one recorded prior to Iowa and got delayed release like the damned Iowa results. But we discussed Bernie being the front runner (which feels like a nice call looking at 538's updates and the Biden results) and then I followed up with the fairly slept on story about Sanders' team looking into executive order options. As much as everyone wants to call Bernie's agenda impossible, they seem to forget that Obama faced mass obstruction and was called a Socialist despite being much closer to the center. So I think ANY candidate that wants to be serious about crafting change will need to have a strategy for executive orders and an understanding of legal precedent. This biased ass Supreme Court may still fish out ways to make it difficult, but Sanders and Warren are both exploring ways to make it tough to challenge their Executive Orders. Full time stamps:
Intro (I'm kinda hype bc we got our sponsor ad)
5:00 - Chinese Laser Rifles (China has developed a laser rifle that can burn your flesh through a window from over half a mile away)
9:30 - Dr. Armani Ballour (The Cave was an underground hospital in Syria where Dr. Armani served and saved lives, really great story here)
14:05 - RIP Kobe (had to show some love and try to hit at the people only bringing up his mistakes, his mistakes made him human and his growth was worth following)
18:25 - Out of Line (3 mini stories about people who did dumb ish)
23:15 - Gas station sex pills (shockingly effective)
26:00 - Bernie Sanders is the front runner (explained above)
33:00 - Executive Orders (also explained above)
36:10 - CBP Seizes iPhone of active service member (CBP harassing Vets of Iranian descent? Shocker that they overstep even with our veterans?)
38:35 - UPS drivers fighting sex slavery (UPS drivers being taught to spot signs of sex slavery, the segue to this segment was some bad timing but we laughed)
42:45 - Let me remind you (quick hitters)
48:00 - Scotland goes 100% renewable (Scotland is on pace to go 100% renewable this year barring initiatives that would plant more trees or situations where carbon capture would offset the impact)
Check us out fam, I try to slip that lefty solidarity in as much as possible. Some stories are fun and for laughs but we try to be informative along the way and I've been pumping Bernie stories as much as possible.
