That's a very poorly worded way of saying, "vote on the policy not the personality". Which in general, I agree with.

However, it's problematic because he didn't keep that same energy for why Trump was elected.

this answer was in response to the CBS guy asking "people say you're too old to run president" and bernie gave that quote. I really don't see the issue. I'm not voting for some Republican because of gender, race, sexuality - why am I going to do it for a Democrat?

Like I said before - I could pull the "you're anti-semitic for not supporting possibly the 1st Jewish president ever in a nation that has anti-semitism roots - are you suggesting that Bernie is a sneaky Jew?" but I'm not disingenuous like the people that push this empty idpol stuff and vote on policy. You're pretty much doing exactly what the criticism was about.

#WhitePrivilege is saying (and thinking) out loud that (highly) qualified women, LGBT folks and people of color are only in contention for a job because of their identity. This trope is tired, inaccurate and problematic.
