I think the other way to look at this is that people will actually go to the doctor who weren't going because of the costs.Im -112 and i dont pay a dime for insurance now other than super small co-pays

I tried it and I would save $947 a year without accounting for deductibles and copays for actually using my insurance. This would help a lot with not having to worry about paying when I go to the doctor.
I think the model might be imperfect because it doesn't take into account income sources so you might be at 0.Thats certainly true. The girl im dating is 27 and doesnt have any insurance at all now due to costs. She could certainly use insurance because of various health issues and i dont mind having less purchasing power in order for people like her to get insurance. With that said, im surprised mine wasnt at 0 rather than being in the negatives. I dont make shyt for money and am on disability

Perhaps. I didnt include the disability with earned income though. Idk. Either way im not concerned over 100 bucks but it was just somewhat surprising
I redid the model excluding my wife's disability income and that brought the savings up to $1,400 for us but I'm paying a lot for insurance now through my job. That would be an extra $53 per paycheck that I'd save on top of no copays at the doctor and no weighing whether to go get checked out if either of us is having a medical problem.
